This is a sailing and travel channel by a Swedish middle aged couple Anders and Gitte that quit working life enjoy life as sailors where plans is written in sand. Our Devon Rex cat Litza is part of the crew. We will show our life onboard, maintenance and project work on the boat, Gitte share some recipes and show cooking onboard, a lot of sailing and places we visit along the way.
We sail a Wauquiez 47 Pilot Saloon from 2006 that we bought in Yarmouth in UK in 2019 and sailed home to Gotland in Sweden in the spring 2020. In August 2020 we began sailing south and we got to Dieppe in Normandy France before the winter. In 2021 we sailed the Atlantic coast of Europe to Lagos in Portugal.
The plan for 2022 is to first sail to the Atlantic islands Madeira and Azores and then back to Lagos before we sailed into the Mediterranean Sea.
We hope we can inspire You!

The 23 June my father passed away and in the beginning of July family and friends sent him away on his last sail outside his homeport Rødvig in Denmark. I think my father is the one that gave me the love for sailing and the sea so this summer has been difficult and I have simply not been able to edit videos. But in my last phonecall with my father he told me that he thought our sailing adventure was the right thing to do and he enjoyed to follow it through our videos which really warms my heart. We have finally put a new video together that will go live tomorrow and I want to dedicate this episode 92 to my father Knud Rasmussen.
To all our regular viewers and subscribers Anders and I say Thank You so much for your patience and support during this difficult time, we hope you will enjoy the video tomorrow and to quote my father "Traveling is living and the cruising sailing life is a great way of traveling to experience the world" so live with us as we continue to share our sailing adventure.

We are prepairing to do a night passage to Elba from Porto Veccio on Corsica which mean we won’t be able publish the next episode on sunday but keep an eye out for it during the week.
We are sailors first and Youtubers second that’s why we don’t want to commit to a specific publishing schedule.
Thanks for your understanding and support.

We got hit by another boat at 5:11 am while at anchor tonight. Fortunatly no larger damages to neighter boat our swimmingladder got bendt at the strike and we abruptly where woken up. Boat we and the crew on the other boat got up and together we managed to avoid another colligion but if they had hit at this place the first time the damages would had got a lot worse. Earlier yesterday I chased away another boat that tried to anchor even closer to us(26 meters from our stern) later this boat came up and through their anchor a little bit further away but still to close in our opinion Anders measured the distance to a litte more than 30 meters but with the anchor furter away than the first one. When we went to bed Anders said that if the wind would turn around we could bang together I therefore tried to put up some fenders but realized that I didn’t know where to put them because I could not foresee where an impact could be. We have tried to discuss what we could had done differently. We have been here for days and was absolutly first in the Anchorage. We didn’t talked with the second boat about that we felt that they where anchoring to close because I felt like I was that bitch yelling at everyone having chased that other boat away just 10 minutes earlier. Should we have gone over and told them about our measurement and scope? Should we had reduced our 30 m scope to less than 5 times the depth? We laid our anchor at 6 meters depth. 30 meters scope+15 meter boatlenght give that we need a 50 m radius to have margins plus the other boats scope and lenght… should we had picked up our anchor and moved? What’s your opinion?
