One of my absolute favorite things to do around the New Year is to make a montage of shots from the year, alongside music I adore. I’ve been doing this since long before I was even on YouTube. This year, I created a series of three videos that were made with a cohesive story in mind. They’re intended to be watched in the order I release them, but hey, do whatever you want. At the very least, I just hope they can communicate some emotion, and create a feeling. I’ll release them over the next few days. A few frames from the latest video shot entirely with the SIRUI Venus 35mm FF Anamorphic on a Sony FX3. This one was so much fun to film. It’s going to be pretty hard to go back to 16:9 after shooting on anamorphic 😳 I’m in love.
Almost exactly one year ago, before the whole world changed, I took a trip to New York City and was able to meet up and film with my friend @BurkeCullinane . He ended up making a whole little short film about my story/van life/minimalism, and it came out super rad! If you want to hear some more of my story, check out his video, and stick around because Burke is such a solid humble guy and makes amazing videos!
I'm probably going to be a little quiet on this channel for a bit, because I'm currently in Austria with Shaffer making videos for Fox at the mountain bike World Cup! Starting October 5th it'll be daily videos 😳so I'll be a little busy. Now obviously, everything is uncertain, upside-down, and on hold right now, but we had a blast making this first episode and I can’t wait for things to calm down and get back to making this series!
