I began dreaming up this addition some four and a half years ago. While I would have loved to have snapped my fingers and had everything finished from day one, that’s not how most BIG projects and BIG dreams happen. They happen one wall at a time. One room at a time. There’s the messy middle. The messy middle is living through the renovations, doing dishes in the makeshift kitchen sink, and having the kids play musical bedrooms. The messy middle is where you start to question if you’ve made the right choice and want to retreat back to what is comfortable. Renovating this property has been such a massive undertaking, and it feels like we’re almost through the messy. For the past nine months, my sister and her family have been waiting, praying, and living in our one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage with two babies under two.
Yesterday, they became the new owners of the property next door. 🙌🏽
Their season of sacrifice and patience paid off—and this is your reminder that God’s path isn’t always straight, but He always delivers more than we could ask for or imagine.
P.S. The home was purchased from the original owners who lived there for over 45 years... so you already know a full-blown Flipping Gorgeous renovation is coming. 🔨✨
