朝から駐車スペースの防水・防塵塗装を2度塗り。
塗装を終えて、お風呂に入ってから、お気に入りのお店へ。
After applying two coats of waterproof and dustproof paint to my parking space, I took a shower and headed to one of my favorite local restaurants.

🥓 トシーノ（Tocino）
甘辛く漬け込んだフィリピン風ポーク。
ガーリックライスと目玉焼きとの相性は最高です。

今日もよく頑張りました。
豪華なご馳走ではなくても、体が喜ぶ食事が一番のご褒美です。😊

66 years old.
After a full day of hard work, I don't need a fancy meal. A simple, healthy dinner that makes my body happy is the best reward.😊🇵🇭

「そろそろ頃合いかな」と思い、朝の涼しいうちに作業開始です。

66歳になると、不思議なことに、こういう地味な作業が結構楽しいんですよね。

少しずつ、自分の秘密基地を育てています。

I started waterproofing and dust-proof coating the parking space early this morning.

It has been exactly one month since the concrete was poured, so I felt the timing was just right.

At 66, I've discovered that even simple DIY work can be surprisingly enjoyable.

Little by little, I'm building my own secret hideout.

今日はニャンニャンとアーニャのワクチンの日でした。

わざわざ1時間かけて、犬猫が多すぎず、清潔だと評判のアニマルクリニックへ。

評判だけでは分からないこともあります。

でも、床をアルコールで丁寧に掃除し、作業が終わった後にスタッフさん自身も手を消毒している姿を見て、なんだか安心しました。

ニャンニャンとアーニャは、このあとシャンプーです。

その間に僕は少し有名なレストランでランチ。

猫たちは体を綺麗に。
僕はお腹の中を平和な時間に変える。

そして車はスパへ。

気が付けば、

猫はメンテナンス。
車もメンテナンス。
そして僕はコーヒータイム。

66歳になると、
こんな何でもない一日が、
なかなか悪くないと思えるようになります。

Today was vaccination day for Nyan-Nyan and Anya.

We drove an hour to an animal clinic known for being clean and not overcrowded with pets.

Sometimes reputation alone doesn't tell the whole story.

But watching the staff carefully disinfect the floors and then sanitize their own hands afterward gave me a sense of confidence and peace.

Nyan-Nyan and Anya are having their shampoo treatment now.

Meanwhile, I treated myself to lunch at a well-known restaurant.

The cats are getting cleaned up.
I’m turning my stomach into a peaceful place.

And the car is at the spa.

When I think about it,

The cats are getting maintenance.
The car is getting maintenance.
And I’m enjoying a quiet coffee break.

At 66 years old,

I’ve come to realize that even an ordinary day like this can be a pretty good day.

66歳、フィリピンの吉野家で幸せを発見。

今日は吉野家へ。
坦々麺と親子丼を食べて、最後は「沖縄」という名前のかき氷。
これが想像以上に美味しかった。
若い頃は、高級レストランや豪華な旅行に憧れました。
でも今は違います。
吉野家で美味しいランチを食べて、
かき氷に感動して、猫たちが待つ家へ帰る。
そんな一日が面白い。
66歳。まだまだ発見があります😊

66 and still discovering new things.
Today I had lunch at Yoshinoya in the Philippines.
Tantan noodles, oyakodon, and finally an Okinawa-style shaved ice dessert.
Simple things.
But surprisingly satisfying.
Maybe happiness isn't something big.
Maybe it's finding joy in an ordinary lunch on an ordinary day.
At 66, life still has plenty of surprises. 😊

今日はフィリピンの Independence Day。
Today was Philippine Independence Day.

娘と MOA に行こうと思ったのですが、
My daughter and I planned to go to MOA,

渋滞がすごい。
but the traffic was unbelievable.

クリスマスより人が多いんじゃないかと思うほどでした。
It felt even busier than Christmas.

そこで作戦変更。
So we changed our plans.

Uターンして、
Made a U-turn,

いつもの Kenny Rogers へ。
and headed to our usual Kenny Rogers.

結局、
In the end,

特別な場所には行けませんでしたが、
we didn't make it to any special destination,

娘とゆっくりご飯を食べることができました。
but we had a nice meal together.

人生も同じですね。
Life is a bit like that.

予定通りにいかない日もある。
Some days don't go according to plan.

でも、
But sometimes,

予定外の方が楽しかったりする。
the unexpected turns out to be better.

おはようございます。実は今日、YouTubeの収益化を有効にしました。
Good morning.Today, I finally enabled monetization on my YouTube channel.

正直に言うと、ずっと迷っていました。66歳、無職・無年金。
このチャンネルは、娘との思い出や、ニャンニャンとアーニャとの日常を残したくて始めたものです。
To be honest, I hesitated for a long time. I’m 66 years old. No job. No pension. I started this channel to preserve memories with my daughter and my daily life with two cats.

だから、収益化しなくてもいいかな……そう思っていました。
でも今回、ミンダナオ地震のニュースを見て、少し考え方が変わりました。
At first, I thought monetization wasn't necessary. But after hearing about the recent earthquake in Mindanao, I began to think differently.

もしこのチャンネルが、少しでも収益を生むなら。その一部を、震災や災害支援のために使うこともできる。それなら、収益化にも意味があるかもしれない。そんな気持ちで、今日スイッチを入れました。
If this channel can generate even a small amount of income, part of it could be used for disaster relief and volunteer support. That gave me a reason to move forward.

もちろん、大金になるとは思っていません。たぶん最初は、ニャンニャンとアーニャのカリカリ代くらいです（笑）。
I don't expect to earn much. At first, it may only cover cat food for Nyan-Nyan and Anya. 😸

でも、小さな力でも集まれば、誰かの役に立つことがあるかもしれません。これからも変わらず、66歳の日常と小さな発見を発信していきます。いつも見てくださる皆さん、本当にありがとうございます。🐾

突然の断水でした。
仕方ありません。ここはフィリピンです（笑）
でも、お腹は空きます。なので、ラーメンは鍋ごと食べることにしました。
そして、こんにゃくは、さっきまでコーヒーを飲んでいたカップへ。

もう食器なのか、調理器具なのか、自分でもよく分かりません。
若い頃なら、「なんて不便なんだ」と思ったかもしれません。でも66歳になると、「なんか面白いな」と思えてしまう。

断水なのに、ちょっとワクワクしている自分がいます。老後って、こういう小さなハプニングを楽しめるようになることなのかもしれません。

皆さんは最近、思わず笑ってしまった出来事はありましたか？

The water suddenly stopped.

Well...
this is the Philippines. 😄

But hunger doesn't wait.

So I ate my ramen straight from the pot.

And the konjac?

I put it in the same cup I had just used for coffee.

At that point,
I'm not even sure if it's a coffee mug or a food bowl anymore.

When I was younger,
I probably would have complained.

Now, at 66,

I find myself thinking,

"This is actually kind of fun."

Sometimes retirement is simply learning how to smile at small inconveniences.

現在、私は娘専属のウエイターとして働いております。

朝食の案内。
レストランの予約。
荷物運び。

さらに、送り迎え用の高級車まで用意しております。

ただし給料は出ません。

むしろ私が払っています（笑）。

66歳。

どうやら私は父親ではなく、
娘の従業員だったようです。

でも不思議なもので、
こういう時間も悪くありません。

娘が笑っているだけで、
こちらまで嬉しくなります。

さて、今日も一日、
父親業を頑張ります。

I am currently working as my daughter’s personal waiter.

Restaurant reservations.
Luggage transportation.

I have even prepared a luxury vehicle for her transportation.

Unfortunately, there is no salary.

In fact, I’m the one paying the bills. 😄

At 66, I have discovered that I am not the boss.

I am simply my daughter’s employee.

But strangely enough,
I don’t mind at all.

When she smiles,
it makes me happy too.

So today,
I will continue doing my father’s job.
