Just chuckling to myself because a mate of mine is running late for fishing today, after forgetting the key for the fishery. He’s had to drive back home before we meet for breakfast. I said don’t worry, I’ve not only forgotten a fishery key in the last 12 months, but also my landing net, bait and even my rods! So what have YOU forgotten for fishing in the past and what did you have to do about it?

This is Ky Morton, someone I’ve only known for a couple of years but have grown very fond of. As the bailif of Collingham AA’s stretch of the Trent, he’s helped me land the barbel of my dreams. Usually while wearing shorts and wellies, even in a winter storm. Now he’s paralysed and unable to speak. He needs our help. Together with Jack Harmer, who runs the Real River Trent FB page, we are raising money to help Ky and his family deal with, and hopefully recover from a massive stroke.
