Sista Kelly π Make way, King Jesus is returning π π₯³
Welcome to The Remnant Rising! My name is Kelly Rago.
I believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe God is One, and doesnβt need a nickname. I believe in personal confession and the need to live a surrendered life of repentance. I believe Jesus gave His life and suffered for the sins of the world, resurrected after three days, and ascended to Heaven. I believe Jesus came to call sinners to repentance, and not the self righteous. I believe in the gifts of the Spirit; miracles, signs, and wonders. I love the Word of God like itβs my bestie. I donβt take kindly to false prophets, false teachers, liars, and bullies. I love my fam in Christ like Iβve known them all my life, and I disciple and am being discipled, everyday.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under Godβs mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

The more you actively put the sin in your life to death, the more freedom and joy you'll walk in.
Accountability > transparency > authenticity > freedom
The more you ignore the sin in your life, it's like ignoring the elephant in the room.
Eventually there will be eggshells. Anxiety. Tension. Depression. Anger. Lashing out.
All that will only lead you to more sin as you seek any comfort you can find.
It's a vicious cycle.
Itβs not gods plan for you.
Itβs a shadow of freedom.
Itβs the knockoff version of you.
Stop settling for instant gratification when truly your heart desires more.
God tells us how to walk in His higher and better ways-
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will isβ His good, pleasing, and perfect will.
People think Christianβs live miserably by the rules, to the contrary.
All this time, whether you follow Jesus or notβ
sin has been destroying you bit by bit.
Chipping away at your health.
Beating down your confidence.
Stretching your patience thin.
The world says avoid the Truth! Have many
Ignore your sin! Satiate all of your desires
Forget that you were made for more! Settle for less
Because of this the world increasingly embraces maniacal behavior, sociopathy, severe avoidance, until the minds are so fractured and the hearts so broken, only compartmentalization brings any βpeaceβ.
Pretending.
Masks.
Ticks.
Diagnoses.
Justifications.
Blind eyes.
Self sabotage.
Weak character.
Uncomfortable silence.
Canβt even sit with yourself.
The Bible refers to this time and going forward as a period when "hearts will wax cold".
Don't let "one small sin" slowly derail your peace.
It's a sickness that infects everything within and then around youβ circumstances, relationships, opportunities.
I'm not saying turning from sin will make your life perfectβ I am saying it will make your peace perfect.
Unshakable.
Unmistakeable.
Confounding to others.
Astounding to you.
Especially if you've never walked in consistent peace, true joy, and ultimate freedom. Freedom becomes the addictionβ and no more checking out and dulling the senses.
Life will never be perfect, not on this side of eternity.
Donβt make it worse by nursing your sins.
Don't let the enemy convince you to baby yourselfβ you who are called more than a conqueror.
Sin is a deretailer of lives, destinies, purposes and dreams.
God will enlarge your personal capacity as you repent and believeβ
Believe for more, for greater.
Desire spiritual wealth.
Hunger and thirst for righteousness.
Let the renowned peace of Jesus the Christ be your new baselineβ
so that no matter what comes, you'll always remember:
Wait, I don't need to turn back to sin,
to those who destroy me,
to hopelessness and weariness
I remember the peace, joy, and great love of the Lord, and to that alone I shall return.
Joy and peace await you β€οΈβπ₯

The wilderness is about what you lose, not what you gain.
That can feel crippling.
In a way, itβs meant to.
Freedom in the world is all about autonomy
yet freedom in Christ requires self denial.
Though we say βYes, Lordβ, our hearts often reveal a different story before God.
Know that about yourselfβ that you aren't the end all be all for your lifeβ
and as much as it distresses your flesh,
let it embolden His Spirit within you.
God never told the Israelites where they were going in the wilderness.
They knew the bottom line was the promised land, but they didnβt have a map πΊοΈ
He led them bit by bit;
manna for food;
manna for direction.
That's painful. Frustrating. Maddening even.
This part of the journey is meant to tear down everything inside of you which exalts itself against His power.
Ezekiel told us that God gives us a new heart in Christ Jesusβ
yet while that heart is soft, it's not mature.
It's open but it snaps close anytime we get defensive toward God or otherwise.
In the wilderness, God cultivates an open heart posture, which for many, can actually "feel" like betrayal.
An open heart to get hurt more?
You're not going to say anything?
Youβre not going to tell me where I'm going?
And at any time, you can flee back to the Egypt of your autonomy, to a closed heart which understands nothing but feels saferβ
or you can continue in the ultimate stripping of who you once were
so that who you were meant to be in Christ Jesus can finally live.
Let the wilderness open you up like heart surgery because the Master Surgeon is on call.
When your flesh rises up, give a roar for the lion of Judah as you command it to pipe down.
Laugh at the enemy when He tempts you by aligning with the truth of what sin really is and what Jesus already freed you from.
Veil torn.
Evil overcome.
Jesus reigns.
Don't fear what you see, don't worry for what you donβtβlearn to die daily for the sake of loving Him back.
What comes after that is nothing but promise.
Potential.
Capacity.
Freedom.
Maturity.
Understanding.
Wisdom.
Knowledge.
Gifting.
Purpose.
Rest.
Whatever your wilderness is shaped like, your story doesnβt end there.
Itβs like the Genesis of your story in fact.
All you see and feel may make you seem little, and you may be tempted to make the enemy seem like a giant,
But thatβs just fear talking.
Numbers 13:33
βWe seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.β
Thatβs how the Israelites responded when they ran back, afraid of the Nephilim giants in the promised land.
βIn our own eyesβ we may feel less than, or lacking ability, or identity, but those lies are rebellion.
Let faith see and let faith speak:
Numbers 14:9
βOnly do not rebel against the Lord, and do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us.
Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them."
God will make the enemy sustenance for your faith.
Fear no man nor devil.
They arenβt protectedβ but you are.
You donβt walk alone.
You were never without.
The LORD is your shepherd, you shall not lack.
When God looks down on you, all He sees is glory.
Keep your face on flint, soldier.
