I am creating a tutorial to calculate motion of a floating structure under waves using overset mesh and six dof rigid body motion solver. I will try to couple this with MoorDyN and will share when it works. Cheers!
I tried compiling and running coupled OpenFOAM - MoorDyN simulations through foamMooring package.
Compiling was quite easy especially if you only care about MoorDyN and not include other mooring codes. You just need to git clone the code and ./Allwmake.
But the simulation was somehow quite slow. It took me 20 minutes to run 1second of simulation time for this 2D tutorial case on my poor old computer. I will try paraller later and share my experience again.
