So we got the Steam Machine before the Frame…

While it is still REALLY expensive, this does give me some hope that the Frame will be at least SOMEWHAT reasonably priced. It definetly will be more expensive than the Quest 3, but I don’t think it will be as expensive as the Machine.

This may be a bit of cope, but something doesn't sit right with me about this post/article.

All the article states is that the team at Skydance is "working on a non-VR game". It doesn't mention that they've stopped VR game production entirely. Unless there's some context I'm missing, I don't have much of a reason to believe that Skydance is completely done with VR, given they were also working on a Harry Potter VR game that got scrapped.

But if this is the case, the slope is getting more and more slippery. There are still some phenomenal VR games on the horizon, and ones that have already been released this year (I'm working on an ITR2 video for the 1.0 release, life has just been REALLY busy), but losing a titan in the VR games industry like this is going to have some ripple effects.

I'm still holding out hope for Skydance. Until they state "We are no longer working on VR titles", I will still hold out hope that they have something great in the works, like Saints & Sinners and Behemoth.
