Guys, two people asked Historian Vedat Turgut on Instagram about two issues and confusions we have.

1) Whether Fatma Hatun is Asporca's child or grandchild, so historian Vedat Turgut said that he mistakenly referred to Fatma Hatun as the child of Ibrahim Bey, and that Fatma Hatun is likely Asporca's daughter and that Seferullah/Serefullah Bey is also Asporca's child.

2) Someone asked Historian Vedat Turgut whether Efendi Hatun, was Orhan's wife, and whether Efendi is Mahmud Alp's daughter or Gunduz Bey's daughter, so he mentioned that likely a confusion has arose by Historian Kamil and that she and her father were likely direct relatives of Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi with some high status but to say that she is Orhan's wife is something we can't say with full confidence.

Obviously, confusions can arise and doubts will remain. But, at least Vedat Turgut cleared his stance and his mistakes so we can feel more at ease. Anyways, credits to the respective people because they provided the images.

English Translation:
➡️ Osmân had a young son who was fourteen years old; he was born from the daughter of Seyyid Balı, and they called him Orhan. He was of noble, Sharif ancestry (a descendant of the Prophet). He used to hold the Master's shoes and show him great honor. The Seyyid prayed for him and said: 'May your descendants be cherished and exalted. May great Khans hold their shoes.

➡️ Because of this they called him Orhan. Then the Master (Server) turned and said: 'O Osmân! God Almighty (Hak Ta'âlâ) shall grant sovereignty and kingship (pâdişâhlık) to you, your lineage, and your descendants. However, let this be my testament (vasiyet) to you and your lineage: in your rule, exercise justice ('adl) and equity (dâd), and display generosity and goodness.
