The Buteyko Method

I’m Neil Tranter, a breathing coach specialising in the Buteyko Method.

After burning out myself, I learned how strongly breathing patterns affect anxiety, brain fog, sleep, energy, and nervous system health. On this channel, I share simple, evidence-based breathing guidance to help you breathe more lightly, calm your nervous system, and feel more balanced in daily life.

Work with me one-to-one:
www.thebuteykomethod.com/one-to-one-buteyko-breath…

On the channel you’ll find:
• Buteyko breathing tutorials
• Gentle breathing for anxiety and overwhelm
• Support for sleep, focus, and resilience
• Short exercises you can use in real life

My approach is practical, science-led, and designed to work alongside everyday life — especially if you feel tired but wired or stuck in fight-or-flight.

The Buteyko Method

Box breathing: love it or hate it?

If it’s never quite worked for you, there’s a good chance you’ve just been using the wrong rhythm.

Most people stick to 4–4–4–4…
but that doesn’t suit everyone.

The key is finding a pace that feels calming, easy, and natural for your body.

When you get it right, it can take you into a very deep state of calm and relaxation — which both feels wonderful and can help support your breathing and nervous system.

It’s not traditional Buteyko breathing, but it can be done in a Buteyko-friendly way when the breathing is gentle and there’s a mild air hunger.

I’ve just released a full set of box breathing timers so you can try different rhythms and see what actually works 👇

The Buteyko Method

I’m mulling over a possible channel name refresh as the channel has grown beyond just one style of breathing content.

Everything would still be rooted in the same Buteyko-friendly principles — gentler, calmer, lighter, quieter breathing.

Nothing is decided yet. I’d just love your instinctive reaction.
