BREAKING: The NYPD has placed invasive and error-prone scanners in NYC subway stations, forcing New Yorkers to undergo baseless scanning in order to ride the subway and in violation of their Fourth Amendment rights.
City officials have admitted that these scanners are primarily meant to combat some riders’ perceptions that they are unsafe on the subway, which is not a justifiable basis to violate the Constitution.
New York’s subway system is overwhelmingly safe: Adams himself has confirmed that.
If this tech isn't removed, we'll see Mayor Adams and the MTA in court.

NEW: We’re taking Nassau County to court - again - for their anti-trans sports ban.
It’s abundantly clear that any attempt to ban transgender women and girls from sports is prohibited by New York’s antidiscrimination laws. It was true when we successfully struck down Nassau County Executive Blakeman’s transphobic policy, and it’s true now.
This latest round of hateful legislation is unacceptable and we won’t let it stand in New York.
