The name comes from a combination of the Hebrew words Kavod (glory, honor, abundance) + Avodah (labor, service, worship)
Our songs come out of lived experiences following the way of our glorious Father & King, as well as re-imagined, modern versions of your favorite Psalms and other passages in the Bible.
Whether you're just listening to instrumental background music while working or preparing a sermon, or looking for that expresses the emotion you're feeling inside, we pray that God's Spirit will be at work in your life to bring you closer to himself, no matter where you find yourself on the journey.

In Psalm 122, King David wrote a Psalm of Ascents with a famous line that is contested by many today: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem—“May those who love you be at peace! May there be shalom within your walls—quietness within your palaces.”
On Friday, May 15th, we'll declare these words again with joy, in a way that makes you want to dance and worship the King of Kings.

Psalm 91 paints a picture of someone facing the most difficult circumstances. Enemies attacking, sickness threatening, and darkness surrounding, with every reason to fear.
Yet this place is only dark because they are in the shadow of the Most High God. Like a mother bird, wings surrounding her young, God protects and shields His people.
In Hebrew, El Shaddai is one of the names for God that means the Almighty or Most Powerful. El Shaddai is the shadowing One who is always near, protecting those He loves.
So maybe the question isn't "why is it so dark?" Maybe it's "how close must He be for me to be standing in His shadow?"

I wrote this album out of a painstaking journey through a dark night of the soul.
Wrestling with doubt and disillusionment, my faith was deconstructing. I was questioning the purpose of my existence.
On the mountain-top, we think we have all the answers, but life throws us a curveball that plunges us into the valley of despair.
This is the universal Quest for God.
Will we surrender our need for control and learn to trust?
May we all finish this quest with a fire still burning. 🙏
