The Conservators of the Greatest Generation (COGG) will host a dedication event titled “The Rooftop Oath” on 21 February 2026 atop the historic Ayers Building at 118 Broadway in San Antonio, Texas.

During WWII, the Ayers Building served as the USMC Induction Center for the area. One of the young men inducted there was Harland Block, who was one of the Marines in the famous Iwo Jima flag-raising photo.  

Veterans groups from all over Texas (and hopefully the U.S.) and families of WWII veterans will be in attendance to celebrate the preservation of this historic location.

shout out to the fine people ‪@quantumfiber‬ it's Saturday morning. no internet since Tuesday. already burnt through all hot spot data on two phone plans. they're so out of sorts. You log into their app.. get one eta. log into their website and get another. every day they kick the can.. we all know this isn't getting fixed on a weekend. No video uploads, no podcast episode getting recorded, no live streaming, no after hours work gettimg done because some IT work can't be done during buisness hours. At least be honest about what the issue is. ya'll treating this like a delayed flight instead of tell people the true eta. you keep moving ut 6 hours at a time. keep up the stellar service.

No Filter!. After a long hot day of striking out in the Florida heat. I was heading back to the boat rampon my @vibekayaks Yellowfin 120 when I decided to "cast a few" on this dock with a submerged light. First cast with my @kast_kingusa Bassinator paired on aperigee ii rod a landed this nice 3.28 lbs Largemouth. Was on live stream so I quickly switched to photo mode on my galaxy S25 with 5 second time and got this shot.
