It's time to journey back to 1950s central Africa with this week's episode on the remarkable life of Patrice Lumumba. It is a thrilling yet tragic story of betrayal and revolution. An inspirational figure who was murdered by the West at the age of 35.
As always, I'm excited to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Another week, another episode. :) I'm thrilled to release this in-depth examination on the life, work, and legacy of Hannah Arendt. It is a dense, thrilling story through Nazi Germany and the corridors of academia. She narrowly escaped being sent to the camps – and went on diagnose the very system that would have had her killed.

Hello everyone! I'm very happy to announce the release of the winning option from this month's member's poll. It is, of course, on the life of Frantz Fanon. This was an intense one to produce – his life was all too short, and I found myself quite moved while writing the last few chapters of the script. A towering figure, nonetheless.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all our members (and Patreons!) for participating in our democratic experiment – and of course for their direct financial support. This channel would truly not be possible without your solidarity.
The poll for June will be coming in the next few days.
Oh, and I'll be re-posting the members-only playlist directly after this so you don't have to scroll down.
Wishing you all much solidarity in this increasingly inhumane world.

Hello everyone! I'm so thrilled to release my treatment of the life of Fidel Castro. His story goes way beyond the typical Cold War caricatures. We are tracking a genuinely wild journey – from an unbaptised outsider in rural Cuba to a guerrilla fighter who ousted a dictator and kept a superpower at bay for half a century. It is a dense, fascinating history, and considering how many of you have requested him in the comments lately, I am incredibly excited to finally put this one out there.

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to release my take on the life of Ho Chi Minh – the revolutionary Vietnamese leader whose life still shapes how we understand empire, resilience, and modern history. What a life he lived – truly world-changing, and a gripping story to boot. He's also one of the most-requested topics I've received in the comments over the past year, which makes me even happier to finally share it with you all today.

Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to finally release my portrait of Leo Tolstoy — the man, the novelist, the reluctant prophet, and the moral philosopher whose life still shape how we think about power, conscience, and literature.

Hello everyone! I'm happy to announce my latest release: the long, brutal, and utterly transformative story of the Industrial Revolution. This was a lot of fun to write – sixteen chapters spanning roughly a century, from the cottage looms of Yorkshire to the smog of Victorian Manchester and beyond. Always curious as to your thoughts and feedback. :)
And, as always, members will find the ad-free version in the ad-free playlist a couple posts below this one. Thank you all! :)
