I want to say a few things:
More than a month ago, my friend made a video where the Kid vs Kat fanfic called Alien(s), Genders, & Shredding Dresses was translated into Spanish and she uploaded the audio of the Spanish version of the fic onto YouTube. The thing is, she didn't ask the author permission because she told me that "That's what most people are doing anyways, so I'm going to do it." So she made the video and uploaded it. Until yesterday, she made a community post, saying that the author found her video and demanded that she take it down because she didn't ask permission and she didn't read the bio of the author's AO3 account, which literally stated to link the translated fic to them and she didn't do that. It's because she doesn't like the author for blocking me (which I stated that a year ago when I tried to comment on their Transgender Dennis Chan fic) and when I made a community post about it, she immediately started hating the author for blocking me.
I want to say that the author has a right to block me because they have their own reasons, they don't need to explain why they blocked me, they have a right to block me anywhere as they want and plus, I want to apologize to the author on behalf of my friend. My friend did take down the video but she immediately got irritated and started sending me some messages on Instagram, telling me that the author should "I can't say it" because of everything and that is not okay.
So... My message to the author....
I'm so sorry for what my friend has done to you, stealing your fanfiction and translating it without your permission. Hopefully, we will try and get along, have a wonderful day and continue to write what you want on AO3.
