Sagarmala - the flagship programme of the Ministry of Shipping, is a comprehensive action plan for port-led development in the country. It aims to achieve capacity expansion, modernization of sea-ports along India’s coastline, enhance connectivity, facilitate port led- industrialization to promote trade and develop coastal communities, thereby enabling ports to become drivers of country’s overall economic growth.
