I grew up on a farm in Michigan—where life was raw, hands-on, and connected to nature. My love for the outdoors was born through animals, gardens, and wild adventures with my scout troop.
By trade, I’m an engineer. At heart, I’m a photographer. One shapes with purpose. The other embraces the untamed. I capture both: moments shaped by nature and designs inspired by it.

New Series Reveal: The Folklore of the Ethereal Wilds
I am thrilled to introduce "The Fire Thief’s Roost," the opening piece of a new series to be revealed over the next couple of weeks.
This series reimagines the forest as a vault of old magic. We begin with the Northern Flicker, known in this lore as the Keeper of the Flame. The story goes that he built a "Silent Arrow" chain into the sky to steal warmth for a cold earth. The brilliant red under his wings is not pigment, but the scorch marks from hiding the ember, just as the black crescent on his chest is a mark of soot.
The image captures him on the boundary of the living and the dead. Perched on a withered Ponderosa spire, the purple shadows of the forest attempt to fade him out, but the fire in his feathers pushes the darkness back.
For the collectors and designers, this piece brings a deep, narrative warmth to a space. For my photographers, I’ve included the camera settings in the final image of the carousel.
