एकवर्षअघि यो भिडियोका कारण Cyber Bureau बाट फोन आयो। - “तपाईं आफैँ भोलि आउनुहुन्छ कि तपाईंको लोकेसन ट्र्याक गरेर लिन आऊँ?”
त्यसपछि अलि माहोल शान्त भएपछि म आफैँ साइबर ब्युरो पुगेँ। त्यहाँका एकजना डीएसपीज्यूले भन्नुभयो- “अमेरिकाका दाहालजी र नेपालबाट तपाईं अलि बढी नै बोल्दै हुनुहुन्छ अरे। यहाँहरूलाई अलि सम्झाउनुपर्यो, तह लगाउनुपर्यो भनेर माथिबाटै आदेश आएको छ।”
त्यो बेला तथ्य र तथ्यांक सङ्कलन गरेर सामान्य भिडियो बनाइरहेको २४ वर्षको एउटा युवालाई— कसरी यति चाँडै शक्तिको नजरमा परियो? किन हामीसँग प्रतिशोध राखिँदैछ? भन्ने प्रश्न मनमा उठेको थियो।
डर त थियो नै। तर हामीलाई लागेन कि हामीले केही गलत गरेका छौँ, त्यसैले त्यो भिडियो हटानौँ।
त्यसपछि केही समय हाम्रो लागि निकै कठिन नै भयो। “केरा गणतन्त्र” लेखिएको टी–शर्ट प्रतिबन्धित गरियो। Singha Durbar प्रवेशमा पनि कडाइ गरियो।
तर त्यो प्रतिशोध केवल हामीमाथि मात्र थिएन। त्यो नेतृत्वले धेरै जनासँग प्रतिशोध साधिरहेको थियो।
आज त्यो प्रतिशोधको जवाफ जनताले दिएका छन्।
अब प्रतिशोधको राजनीति अन्त्य होस्।

“केरा गणतन्त्र” को अर्थ र ऐतिहासिक सन्दर्भ स्पष्ट पार्न हामीले प्रयत्न गर्यौं, तर वहाँहरूले यो बुझ्नुभएन या बुझ्न चाहनुभएन।
यस परिस्थितिमा, हामीले यो विषय टुंगो नलागेसम्म “केरा गणतन्त्र” मात्र होइन, IDS Wears अन्तर्गत रहेका सम्पूर्ण डिजाइनहरूमा अस्थायी रूपमा अर्डर लिन रोक लगाउने निर्णय गरेका छौं। यसबीचमा अर्डर गर्नुभएका सबै अर्डरहरू भने यो हप्ताभित्र वितरण गरिनेछ।

केरा गणतन्त्र (Banana Republic) भन्नाले एउटा यस्तो देशलाई जनाइन्छ, जुन देखावटी रूपमा त गणतन्त्र हुन्छ (जस्तै: त्यहाँ चुनाव, सरकार, संविधान आदि हुन्छ), तर वास्तविकता भने फरक हुन्छ। यस्तो देशमा:
1. केही गिनिएका धनी व्यापारीहरू वा स्वार्थ समूहहरूले सत्ता कब्जा गरेका हुन्छन्,
2. सरकार र नेताहरू ती व्यापारीहरूका आदेशमा काम गर्छन्,
3. जनताको भलाइभन्दा निजी नाफा, ठगी, भ्रष्टाचार र शक्तिको दुरुपयोग प्रमुख हुन्छ,
4. संविधान, कानुन र लोकतान्त्रिक संस्थाहरू कागजमा मात्र सिमित हुन्छन्,
5. पत्रकार, न्यायपालिका, प्रहरी आदि पनि दबाबमा, डरमा वा दुरुपयोगमा हुन्छन्।
“Banana Republic” भन्ने शब्दको उत्पत्ति होन्डुरास जस्ता ल्याटिन अमेरिकी देशहरूबाट भएको हो, जहाँ केही विदेशी फलफूल कम्पनीहरूले (जस्तै: United Fruit Company) त्यहाँको सरकार र अर्थतन्त्र नियन्त्रणमा लिएका थिए। देशमा नाम मात्रैको लोकतन्त्र थियो, तर वास्तविक शक्ति ती कम्पनीहरूसँग थियो।
यस शब्दको प्रयोग कुनै व्यवस्थाको पक्ष वा विपक्षमा होइन, शासकहरूको चरित्र र शासन शैलीको आलोचनात्मक रूपमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ।
