I conduct long-term field research on wild bonobos at Wamba in the Luo Scientific Reserve, DRC.
Bonobos and chimpanzees are our closest living relatives.
Compared to chimpanzees, bonobos are often described as building more peaceful and tolerant societies.

Hi everyone,
Long time no see, and thank you for your patience while I have been quiet on my YouTube channel.
I am currently in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and will travel to Wamba this week to resume observations of wild bonobos.
It has been nearly six years since I had to leave Wamba and return to Japan in 2020 due to COVID-19.
I am truly looking forward to seeing the bonobos again!
