Wild Spaces Crew Members now have early access to the second part of my Timothy Treadwell docu-series.
We know that the bear almost certainly survived, and that Treadwell was gravely misinformed, but how did he convince MILLIONS of people that he was the "Bear Whisperer" or "The Grizzly Man"?

THE MOST INFAMOUS BEAR ATTACK IN HISTORY is more relevant than ever.
Timothy Treadwell was among the first internet influencers. His antics brought him fame, notoriety and an incredibly passionate group of followers, which included a promising physician's assistant named Amie Huguenard.
Amie was among thousands of people who wrote letters to the national park service, pleading with them to not ban Treadwell from Katmai NP despite the fact that he was harassing the park's bears. Amie, like so many, believed Treadwell had a special connection to the bears of Katmai, that he was saving bears from poachers and hunters.
It was all a fiction. While staying with Treadwell, in Katmai, Amie's belief in Treadwell would that cost Amie her life. On October 5, 2003, the very last full day of their summer-long visit to Katmai, Amie watched helplessly as the man she loved and trusted was attacked and killed by a brown bear—before being killed herself.
The attack was captured on video. Multiple bears were killed during the investigation. But the bear that killed the pair almost certainly survived. Watch the full documentary by clicking here: https://youtu.be/hi17IAQF7Ck
I'm currently working on a followup documentary specifically focusing on Amie. How did a highly educated and intelligent woman follow Treadwell to her death? Learn what Amie's story can teach you about the dangers of trusting internet influencers. COMING SOON.

The internet's B.S. merchants have been extremely busy. And there are few topics they love more than self-defense in bear country.
This video has been years in the making. With input from the chief firearm instructor for Alaska Fish and Game, and a thorough analysis of the best available data, it's time to discuss the difference between an intelligent bear defense handgun, and a dumb bear defense handgun.
We'll examine attack data by Ammoland.com, studies of firearm efficacy, and whether bear spray " works only 50% of the time." You don't want to miss this.
And because we're dealing with matters of human safety—the gloves are off.
There are prominent voices who seem to be doing their level-best to sabotage you.
It's time to call them out and make sure you know how to protect yourself—yes, from bears—but more importantly from the internet's B.S. merchants.
Full video available to Wild Spaces team members right now. Join the Wild Spaces team and get early access! Full video available to everyone this Saturday @ 5AM MST.

On my most recent solo camping trip to greater Yellowstone, I encountered 23 bears (14 grizzlies/9 black bears).
Bear's scare people, but how proportionate is that fear to the real world hazards? Find out tomorrow at 5:45AM MST.

It's official, the long-delayed truth about the most infamous grizzly attack in history goes live tomorrow morning at 5AM MST.
At long last—after decades of half truths, outright falsehoods and a documentary called brilliant by the same people who dubbed Timothy Treadwell Dr. Dolittle—we have the clearest picture yet of what happened on October 5th, 2003 when Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard were killed by a grizzly bear only to be eaten.
Note to viewers in the United States: YouTube has wrongly blocked this video citing copyright infringement. I have requested a review and expect the issue to be resolved within a week.
Apologies for the delay.

Sorry for the silence over the last month.
I was extremely busy working on my examination of Timothy Treadwell's story, and then got sidetracked when news hit that Grizzly 399 (the most famous bear in the world) was hit and killed by a car last month. And if those two projects weren't enough, I've also been field testing a new beastly e-bike.
So I wanted to give you all an update and thank you all for your patience. I'll be releasing these three projects over next few weeks. Get ready. Lots of great stuff coming soon!

For 21 years, the name Timothy Treadwell has been synonymous with bear attacks. Treadwell had been roaming the grizzly maze for almost 13 full seasons, gaining fame and contempt for this close interactions with the bears of Katmai.
Up until sometime around noon, on October 5, 2003, there had never been a fatal bear attack in Katmai. But by the end of the day, Timothy and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard would be killed—and their remains preyed on and cached near their campsite.
You have been asking me to make a video about Treadwell's story for years now. I'm pleased to tell you. It is in the works including the argument that responders killed the wrong bear.
Stay tuned! Much more to come.
