sooo, you may have seen in my recent mix (Emotional Melodic House Mix) at Königssee Lake where I've been experimenting quite a lot with my mixes.
a few things you might have noticed:
- using a 360 camera on a selfie stick while mixing
- using FPV glasses so you can see what I see while I'm mixing
- a long-view camera from far away
- no drone (whaaat??!!?)

yep, a few tweaks here and there as I'm trying to find the right balance and create an immersive experience for you guys. what's tough is that in the last few years, drone laws and regulations are becoming tougher and tougher. many of the beautiful places I go to have signs that say 'no drones!'. plus, using a drone myself throws a lot of complexity into the mix. in my earlier mixes, i would film the drone footage myself, which often meant arriving much earlier to the location, setting up, filming some shots, then also filming after the sun had set. there's already so much to think about (and that can go wrong) with my mixes/equipment already. filming iwth a drone meant that a lot of these mixes just didn't come out as well as i'd liked. later, I started contracting drone pilots to help me, but obviously this gets a bit costly, but also it's hard to find a really great drone pilot that's as passionate about my project as me.

i have such a clear vision for what i'm doing and it pains me when it doesn't get fully realised, the way i see it in my mind.

sooo, i'm testing out this format where i use multiple cameras to give you an immersive experience. so far, i think they've turned out pretty well..

here's a screenshot of a mix i'm editing now that will be out in a few weeks. this one, i filmed from a beautiful ridge, on the border of germany and austria. can't wait to show you this one (coming out friday 3rd of Oct, 2025!)

This one was as lot of fun. I hiked up this mountain and mixed some tracks from the top. I met a lot of interesting people up there and had an absolute ball. It was great, can't wait for the next one!
