The Alberta Prosperity Project is seeking a video editor.
Ideal candidates should have a strong portfolio of video editing work, with a focus on creating engaging content for Youtube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Tik Tok. Ideal candidates should also be a member of the Alberta Prosperity Project.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce high-quality videos for Youtube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Tik Tok platforms
- Work collaboratively with content creators to ensure that their vision is executed in the final product
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and editing techniques for social media video content
- Manage and organize video assets, including footage, audio, and graphics
- Ensure all content meets the technical specifications of each platform and is optimized for maximum engagement and reach
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all video content
Qualifications:
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of video codecs, file formats, and compression settings for different platforms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, taking direction and feedback from others
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Hours required: 10 - 20 hr per week

THE PLAN: Once we have over 600,000 Albertans who support Alberta's Independence and registered for the petition, we will then present the petition to Elections Alberta for approval. Once approved, canvassers will facilitate the collection of signatures for the petition within the required 90 day timeline.

Canadians can expect things to get even more expensive as two major federal tax hikes will go into effect on April 1.
A scheduled hike on the carbon tax will bring the federal levy up to 14 cents per litre which means households should expect to pay up to $847 more in taxes this year even after rebates are distributed.
On top of that, the carbon tax will lead to a spike in the price of gasoline and could impact the cost of transporting basic goods.
The other major tax hike is the alcohol escalator tax which will go up to 6.3% – the largest alcohol tax increase in over thirty years.
Despite having to pay some of the highest alcohol taxes in the world, taxes will take up an even larger portion for the price of a drink.
