I, Naveed Qallash write Urdu & Punjabi poetry & currently working on publishing my first collection of poems in hard cover. Born on August 16th & residing in California, US since 1994. This is a dedicated channel for my own Urdu & Punjabi poetry with occasional book reviews, recommendations & Word of the Day. I grew up listening to eminent poets like Mirza Ghalib, Meer Taqi Meer, Daag Dehlvi and other giants beautifully sung by Jagjit Singh, Mehdi Hassan, Noor Jahan, Ghulam Ali & others which inspired me to start writing poetry in my early youth. I had the honor of appearing twice as a guest poet on Radio Mirchi 1310 AM, #1 radio station of Bay Area ( San Francisco, California). I aim to simplify my poems to reach all types of audience who is interested in poetry.
