I do not care for the way that generative AI writes. (Sorry digital gen AI lovers, I still love you, just prefer a different vibe & punctuation mistakes - less dashes, etc...)
I miss full sentences, or an author riffing in an unusual way & my eyes glaze over with lists. All feels flat when a share becomes a sales pitch, or a concept is repeated repeatedly. I get why people use it & for valid reasons & it's cool.
(It'd be especially cool if we could use extra terrestrial technology & build only small footprint data centers. But I won't go there...)
We are a species who evolved through story & stories sell, but they also help us remember & understand & empathize & find & the AI story is just not for me.
At the heart of my emotions is that I want to protect the craft of writing & what the act of writing offers the human psyche. We read, or hear (if it is an audio,) or see (if it is a movie,) we write & we know we are not alone.
While this endeavor seems futile at the moment I will contemplate & circle back if a flash of insight comes to my wee organic mind.
