"We decided to get a dog because we felt like there was something missing in our lives. We had always wanted a dog, and the timing finally felt right. We had so much love to give and we were ready for a change.

He is our first dog, and since bringing him home, life feels full and colourful again, especially after some difficult years. He has helped us become more fierce with our love, more protective of our peace, and more willing to embrace who we are and what makes us happy.


In his eyes, we are so worthy of love, and it took Nubu for us to really believe and feel that. Being seen through a dog's eyes is being truly loved.


Since having Nubu in our lives, strangers and neighbours have become friends. On almost every walk, we run into someone we know, and we definitely know more dogs' names than their humans' names, but we're working on it! And all it took was Nubu to break the ice."

That’s Legend in the last pic - the Doberman I posted a few weeks ago!

One of the top comments on that video was from a dog named Nubu, saying how much Nubu loved legend.

Then last week I was in Yaletown and I randomly bumped into them as they were having an evening play date. They may seem like an unlikely pair, but they’re basically BFF’s.

Little moments like this make me extra-grateful for the community we’ve built, both online and here in Vancouver.

And seeing dogs be unlikely friends like this makes me feel like we’re living in a Disney movie 😂🍿

"He was found wandering the streets in Brooklyn with no ID. He didn't have his wallet on him. He wasn't chipped either, so we had no idea where he came from.

I adopted him from the Brooklyn ACC — June 11th, 2023. He was just supposed to be a foster, but I foster failed. He's three years old now. I think he's mixed with a Frenchie. I don't know where else he gets those ears from.

Every dog has some kind of obsession, and his is sticks. These are his collection in his apartment (in my apartment). I can't really rationalize getting another puppy when I know how many dogs are sitting in the shelter every day."

🚨 [Please Read]: Product ads on my YT Shorts

A few of you have let me know that the 'product' card that appears on some of my shorts blocks important points in the video, making them harder to watch.

I think there might've been an update on the placement of these cards that I'm not aware of. They used to not block any part of the video, and I'm pretty sure you could swipe them away as well. But it seems an update has made them more aggressive. 🥲

Unfortunately I can't seem to see these myself on my own videos, so I need your help!

If you ever see a product card that's blocking anything in my videos, please leave me a comment on that video and let me know. I can log-in and try to shrink it or move it to a less distracting area (or remove it entirely).

Including these cards is pretty important, as it's one of the few ways I'm able to survive as a creator and keep this whole project going... but I DEFINITELY don't want them to be annoying or get in the way!

So if you see them, and they're in an annoying/distracting location... please tag me in the comments and let me know! 🙏

Yesterday I volunteered at the BC Children's Hospital to photograph some of the dogs in their Pet Therapy program. This is Abby, an angel in the form of a Golden Retriever.

I also got to interview a strong young woman who has courageously been going through Cancer treatment. She told me how much the pet therapy program means to her, and how it was the biggest thing that helped get her through treatment.

I can't wait to share both of these stories with you all! 💙
