CharisDEVO: What is God saying NOW!
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have you ever wondered what God’s will for your life was at the moment? Always go back to the Word to know God’s will for your life.
God has a word for everything predicament or challenge. Are you unhappy or unsatisfied with your life? Are you feeling like you might not surmount the mountain that’s standing in front of you?
Rejoice!
God’s word encourages us to rejoice. Praying and murmuring at the same time don’t go together. Rejoice instead of murmuring and complaining. Rejoice in King Jesus for what he’s done.
Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. Psalm 33:1
To love God means to rejoice in his truth and to not allow anything between you and Him (1 Corinthians 13:6). Trust Him with all your heart.
Continue praying and thanking God in every circumstance. Don’t stop praying because things seem oblique; stay the course because God building godly character in you.
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1
Keep praying, keep believing, and keep rejoicing.

CharisDEVO: The peace of Christ
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Jesus reassures us that there will be troubles in this world, but there’s also victory in His name. The victory we enjoy in Christ was made available through the sacrifice of our King on the cross.
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14:1
Don’t let your present circumstance cause you to fret. Believe what the Lord has said about you, fix your mind on Him, and His peace will flood your heart (Isaiah 26:3).
There’s absolutely no victory without Jesus. Satan is not afraid of the church or the Christian community we’re a part of. He’s afraid of Christians who know whose they are and what they have in Christ Jesus.
Troubles, persecutions, slander, false accusations, will come, but be reminded that Jesus has already won the battle for us.
Commit your ways to Him, exercise your dominion over the devil, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart.

CharisDEVO: Listen quickly, speak slowly
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; James 1:19
Having control over the tongue, heart, and ears is the responsibility of every believer. God gives us the grace to do His will, but we’re the ones to exercise self-control.
Developing a habit to quickly incline our ears to listening prevents unnecessary conflict. God gave us two ears because he wants us to listen more and talk less.
Listening more and speaking less subject our emotion under control. Whereas allowing ourselves to process our thoughts creates a smooth path for the devil to prevail where he shouldn’t.
He that has knowledge spares his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Proverbs 17:27
An excellent spirit is that which is under control. It listens, processes, understands and then responds appropriately.
He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. Proverbs 14:29
No matter how much pressure you’re facing, allow the Spirit of God to lead you. He’ll never lead us to exalt anybody else but Jesus. He will teach us to be slow to speak, slow to anger and to listen quickly.

CharisDEVO: Faithful One
24 You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day. 1 Kings 8:24
Our Heavenly Father is the only person who fulfills every promise without faltering. We make promises and never fulfill because our hearts need to be circumcised by the word of God.
Unfaithfulness is bound to dwell where the slightest form of deception exists. But the word of God says “sanctify them by thy word, thy word is true” (John 17:17).
Only the word of God can transform us to mirror our Father. As you study His word, you learn how He speaks and operates in the affairs of men. Only the Word can uproot every deception of the enemy.
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. Revelations 19:11
God doesn’t have to repeat himself when he speaks to us because His word is true. He will always come through when he promises to show up because he’s faithful and true.
Sometimes he’d repeat himself over and over because he wants to get rid of every bid of deception that’s impeding the flow of faith.
He wants us to believe with all our hearts that He is the Faithful One, and there’s no other God to trust. Mediate on His word because God is not man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19).
