जेन्टल म्यान को दैलो न ढकढकाई फेल्वेहरूको राजनैतिक धन्दा नै अगाडि बढ्दैन।

त्यसैकारण त नयाँ यात्रा तय गर्दैछ धेरै जनाले।

तर गोर्खाल्याण्ड को नाममा नयाँ यात्रा चाहिँ त्यही फेलवेहरू लाई संगठित पार्नु किन?

फेल्वेेहरू संगठित हुनु भनेको अलग राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्ड प्राप्ति होइन , तर उनीहरूको राजनैतिक धन्धालाई प्रोत्साहन दिनु हो।

त्यसैकारण फेल्वेहरु संगठित हुँदाको परिणाम :

गोर्खाल्याण्ड को साटो All Party Chapter Close सँगै बङ्गालकै व्यवस्था भित्रिने छ।

बङ्गालको सत्तामा जुनै पार्टी आएपनि,
बङ्गालको राजनीति अन्ततः “Bengal’s Interest” कै निम्ति खेलिन्छ।

१) गत २०२३ अनि २०२४ मा दुई पल्टमा “अखण्ड बङ्गाल” को प्रस्ताव , पक्ष अनि विपक्ष मिलेर बहुमतको साथ पारित गरेर राखिरहेको छ।
यसले एउटा स्पष्ट सन्देश दिन्छ कि territorial integrity बङ्गालको मुख्य प्राथमिकता हो।

२) फेरि यहाँ एउटा अर्को रोचक राजनीतिक पक्ष पनि देखिन्छ।
समतलको विधायकहरू repeat गराइयो तर पहाडमा भने यसपालि चाहे टिकट नपाएर होस्, चाहे चुनाव हारेर पुराना विधायकहरू पूर्ण रूपमा replace भयो।

प्रश्न उठ्छ :

के यो केवल राजनीतिक संयोग थियो?
वा पहाडमा experience भएको, विधानसभा प्रक्रियामा पकड भएका, दुई कार्यकाल वा एक कार्यकाल काम गरिसकेका नेताहरूलाई systematically sidelined गर्ने प्रक्रिया थियो?
किनकि experienced विधायकहरूले assembly arithmetic, constitutional mechanism अनि administrative loopholes बुझ्न सक्छ।

३) अझ ध्यान दिने कुरा :

गृहमन्त्री Amit Shah का घनिष्ठ मित्र तथा Raju Bista ले आफ्नो अधिकांश दस्तावेजहरू दिल्ली देखि Matigara क्षेत्रमा यही फरवरी महिनामा सारेको छ।

यो केवल coincidence हो?
वा भविष्यको political positioning?

४) आज उत्तर बङ्गालमा administrative restructuring को चर्चा बढिरहेको छ।
• अलग Siliguri district
• Matigara–Shivmandir–Bagdogra expansion( Municipal Corporation)
• Urban restructuring

यी केवल development project मात्र हुन् कि future political balancing पनि?

५) अहिले पहाडका केही नेता, पत्रकार अनि समूहहरू “संवैधानिक व्यवस्था” भन्दै बङ्गालभित्रकै स्थायी setup थाप्न आतुर देखिन्छन्।

तर प्रश्न उठ्छ :

यदि यही narrative प्रयोग गरेर भविष्यमा संविधान संशोधन गरेर दार्जिलिङमा व्यवस्था भित्र्यायो भने। Siliguri district त संवैधानिक तौरमा जन्मिन्छ, जसको फलस्वरूप ऐतिहासिक दार्जिलिङ जिल्ला पहाडी जिल्ला अनि मधेस जिल्लामा रूपान्तरण हुन्छ।

त्यसपछि Gorkhaland को भूगोल, demographic balance अनि राजनीतिक आधार नै स्थायी रूपमा बदलिन सक्छ। र यदि भूगोल नै बदलियो भने,
सदा सर्वदाको लागि Gorkhaland मुद्दामा बिराम लाग्न सक्छ।

६) अहिले plains population तीव्र रूपमा बढिरहेको छ।
यसको प्रत्यक्ष असर भविष्यको Delimitation मा पर्न सक्छ।

७) यदि २०२६ पछि population-based delimitation भयो भने,
Assembly boundaries र representation बदलिन सक्छ।

८) पहाडको तिन विधानसभा क्षेत्रको कुल मतदाता संख्या र plains belt को मतदाता संख्या बीचको अन्तर क्रमशः बढिरहेको छ।

९) यदि हरेक चुनावम पहाडमा पार्टीगत वर्चस्वको खेल मात्रै सम्झियो भने, institutional continuity कसरी बन्ने?

१०) राजनीति केवल आन्दोलनले जितिँदैन।
कहिले काहीँ leadership reset, demographic shift अनि constituency restructuring ले दशकौँ को राजनीति बदलिदिन्छ।

११) आज पहाड अझै slogan, वर्चस्व बचाउने, लालकोटीको कुर्सी हडप्ने अनि emotional politics मा अल्झिएको छ।
तर शायद larger game कहीं deeper level मा चलिरहेको छ।

१२) प्रश्न केवल Gorkhaland को होइन।
प्रश्न यो पनि हो कि भोलिको political map मा Darjeeling district को वास्तविक bargaining power कति रहनेछ? ~ Gorkha Bhawesh

Subject: Demand for Immediate Removal of Sanjeev Lama from the Post of BJP Darjeeling District President

Respected Sir,

I, Bhawesh Bhujel, a social activist from the Darjeeling Hills, write this letter with deep concern and anger regarding the statement made yesterday, on 11 May 2026, by Mr. Sanjeev Lama, BJP Darjeeling District President, during a BJP joining programme in Darjeeling.

In his public speech, Mr. Sanjeev Lama stated that, “Gorkhas are not ready for a separate state of Gorkhaland.”

This statement is highly irresponsible, insulting, and directly against the democratic and constitutional aspiration of the Indian Gorkha community. Such a statement not only hurts the sentiments of lakhs of Gorkhaland supporters but also creates serious doubt regarding BJP’s actual stand on Gorkhaland.

I would like to remind the BJP leadership:

• What was the historic 1986–88 agitation led by Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) for?

• What was the 2007 & 2017 mass movement led by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJMM) for?

Sponsored leaders may have compromised over time, but the Gorkhaland aspiration of the Gorkha people has never compromised and will never compromise.

• Why has the Darjeeling Parliamentary seat continuously supported BJP from 2009 till date, if not with the expectation that BJP would politically and constitutionally respect the demand for Gorkhaland?

I would also like to remind the BJP leadership that Late Sushma Swaraj, while serving as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha in 2013, strongly raised the issue of Gorkhaland and highlighted the unethical policies and treatment faced by Gorkhas under the previous Left Front government and the TMC government.

Now that BJP has come to power in Bengal, it does not mean BJP leaders can start speaking against the constitutional demand of Gorkhaland or attempt to weaken the political sentiments of the Gorkha community.

The people of the Darjeeling , Terai and Dooars supported BJP with trust and hope not for betrayal, confusion, or anti-Gorkhaland narratives from its own district leadership.

Therefore, through this letter, I strongly demand the immediate removal of Mr. Sanjeev Lama from the post of BJP Darjeeling District President for making such an irresponsible and anti-Gorkhaland statement publicly.

At the same time, I issue a strict democratic warning that BJP must not repeat the unethical political games once played by the previous Left government and the TMC against the constitutional movement of Gorkhaland and the political identity of Indian Gorkhas.

The demand for Gorkhaland is constitutional, democratic, and rooted in the political dignity, security, and identity of Indian Gorkhas. Any attempt to insult or politically manipulate this aspiration will only damage BJP’s credibility among the Gorkha people.

I hope the national leadership of BJP will take immediate action and clarify its stand before the people of the Darjeeling , Terai and Dooars.

📌Boundary Commission को निम्ति Mt Batton ले London बाट एउटा judge " Cyrill Radcliffe" बोलाउँछ अनि 8 July 1947 को दिनदेखि केवल पाँच हप्ताको समय दिइन्छ boundary कोर्नुको लागि।
पाँच हप्ताको कम्ती समयमा Punjab Province र Bengal Province को हतार हतार रेखी कोर्दा दार्जिलिङ बंगाल प्रोभिन्स को मानचित्र भित्र हाल्दैन।

📌बादमा Cyrill Radcliffe लन्डन फर्किएपछि एउटा पत्रकारले सोध्दा "मैले कम्ती समय पाएको कारण" भनेर सफाई दिएका छन्।

📌Cyrill Radcliffe ले boundary कोर्दा पाँच हप्ताको कम्ती समय पाएको कारण दार्जिलिङ बङ्गालको मानचित्रमा हालेको छैन भनेर वही पत्रकारले Mt Batton लाई सोध्दा खेरि, Mt Batton को जवाफ यस्तो थियो, " I can't show to you as I have already submitted and it's in the Archives of London".

📌यहीँबाट बुझ्छ कि Mt Batton ले पनि आफ्नो भूल लुकाउनका लागि Archives of London तर्फ कुरा घुमाएर दार्जिलिङलाई साँच्चै भीरको चिन्डो उभो न उधोको अवस्थामा राख्ने काम गरियो।

📌यो भन्दा पनि महत्त्वपूर्ण कुरा, जब दार्जिलिङको क्यापिटल हलमा पाकिस्तानको झण्डा झुण्डिएको खबर दिल्लीमा पुग्यो,
📌17 August 1947 , त्यतिबेला अत्तालेर Mt Batton, Nehru अनि Rajendra Prasad All India Radio बाट घोषणा गर्यो कि दार्जिलिङ East Pakistan मा पर्दैन।

📌तर अचम्म लाग्दो कुरा के छ भने दार्जिलिङ भूभाग भारतमा पर्छ भनेर किन घोषणा गर्न सकेन ?

A Label Reflects the Labeler.

I am a social activist committed to the betterment of our society and to bringing sincerity and accountability into regional politics. My work is rooted in awareness, responsibility, and the courage to speak when silence becomes convenient.

Yet, I am often labeled “Pagla.”

Over time, I have realized something important, a label does not define the person it is thrown at; it reveals the mindset of the one who throws it. A label reflects the labeler.

Our Gorkha community is blessed with educated, capable, and well-positioned individuals. Many possess the knowledge and influence to contribute meaningfully to Gorkha politics. However, when it comes to taking bold, principled, and fearless political steps, hesitation often takes over. Fear of criticism, fear of isolation, and fear of standing against the comfort of the status quo create silence.

I chose not to be silent.

I continuously equip myself with knowledge, political understanding, and clarity of purpose. And when I am labeled “Pagla,” it does not weaken me it strengthens me. Because I understand that when people cannot compete in ideas, conviction, or courage, they resort to labeling.

If questioning injustice, challenging complacency, and daring to act for political awakening makes me “Pagla” in their eyes, then I accept it without hesitation. History has shown that those who refuse to conform are first misunderstood before they are acknowledged.

My commitment is not to approval, but to progress.

And if a label is the price of standing firm for truth and accountability, then so be it — because in the end, a label reflects the labeler, not me.
