He Rolls: Derec is a spinal cord injury survivor and quadriplegic living his fullest life as a VFW Commander, accessible gardener, and co-owner of one of Southern California's only fully wheelchair-accessible Airbnbs.
She Rolls: A medically retired RN managing EDS and chronic illness — living the van life and showing that wheelchair life and mobile life can coexist in the same love story.

Our journey has always been about resilience — on wheels, in rain, through breakdowns, and through health challenges.
Because chronic illness is such a big part of my life, I created a separate channel called Nurse TLC (@nursetlc ) where I share more vulnerably about living with EDS, POTS, chronic pain, and holistic healing while doing van life.

♿️ We would like to welcome Hank to the family! He is a rescue and will be training as a physical assistance service dog for Derec. His calm demeanor and friendliness with both humans and other dogs make him a good candidate. Plus, he isn't afraid of the wheelchair. Video to come 😁
