After many months of work, today I'm proud to release MORPHOLOGY - 50 Custom Patches for the Arturia PolyBrute!

This PolyBrute sound bank contains leads, basses, pads, strings, arps, sequences, keys, soundscapes, textures and FX. All patches have A + B layers for full morphing and use morphee, ribbon, aftertouch, and mod wheel to give you additional sonic possibilities within the patch itself.

As a sound designer, I tried to push the PolyBrute in many different directions and take full advantage of all of its expressive capabilities. I believe this sound pack covers a lot of interesting sonic territory for musicians and listeners alike. Requires PolyBrute firmware v3.0+.

For any PolyBrute owners, I hope you enjoy exploring and performing with these patches on your synth as much as I do on mine, should you acquire them.

Such tragic and unexpected news -- Dave Smith, founder of Sequential Circuits and the father of MIDI, has passed away. A legend has left us, there are no words.

My condolences to Dave's family, Sequential, fans and all who loved his work. Thank you Dave, for everything you've done for music, the synth world and beyond. You will be forever missed.

Hi all, I've just posted a demo of the Yamaha CS-70M I was able to try, when I visited the Vintage Synth Museum in California: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4Oxs...

This synth was the last analog from Yamaha before the DX7 came out. In many ways it is the spiritual successor to the Yamaha CS-80, but has its own distinct character and tone. For me it tends to have a very "acoustic" quality to it, almost like a traditional wood instrument at times.

They are pretty rare these days... anyone else own or played one?

The VSM features a fantastic collection of legendary and rare analog synths, drum machines, effects units, and recording equipment which you can try out and record with.

I was lucky enough to be able to visit the last time I was in the Bay area on a business trip. Lance (curator/owner) is a great guy and has a wealth of knowledge, and his passion for vintage synths is evident. There is so much history and gear here, I was overwhelmed... it was like being a kid in a candy store!

Although I only had 2 hours, I was able to record some audio/video demos of synths like the Yamaha CS-70M, Roland Jupiter 8, Oberheim SEM (4 Voice) and Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 which I will post in the future.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. If you ever get a chance to visit, definitely put it on your bucket list! Hope you enjoy the walkthrough. :)
