Nice Sunday drive to Au Gres ...
We got a call yesterday morning from Allison, her dog Lucy had decided to take off possibly after a critter of some sort. To make matters worse she still had her 25 ft lead still attached to her.
Anytime we get these type of calls where their is a chance the pet could be tangled or stuck its always a high priority, to many things can go wrong to quick.
We decided since it was a cold dreary day , for searching the conditions would be perfect.
The importance of ZERO SUN‼️
To keep it simple, sun is bad for searching with any type of thermal technology.
Sure enough when getting to Au Gres in the afternoon it was mostly sunny. I checked a few areas the best I could, knowing these areas would all be checked again at dusk.
Sure enough a area I had scanned over earlier in the day, I was able to locate her around 8p .
Lucy had not made it far from home at all , but the small wooded area was so dense and almost impossible to walk through, and not being a " barker"
Allison had walked past this area several times throughout the day as well as several family members and neighbors.
Yes, it seemed half of Au Gres were out searching for little Lucy Mae, it was nice to see a community come together to help find her and get her home safe.
This entire area i believe was one of the most dense thick wooded areas ive searched . Even the small patch that Lucy was tangled in was to thick to see 10ft in front of you. After nearly 30 minutes of fighting the cable and brush Allison and her dad were able to get her free.💕💕
