Bonjour, I’m Gérard Garbé — a French chef who began his journey at the École Hôtelière de Paris, cooked in 5 star hotels in Paris, and had the privilege of working at Le Vivarois restaurant in Paris under the legendary Claude Perrot (3 star Michelin) before opening my first restaurant. I later opened two restaurants and a cooking school in Paris, and continued my culinary path through Belgium, Malaysia, and Australia.
My restaurant in Geelong (Le Trianon) was honoured with a Hat from Claude Forell, and over the years I’ve trained many young apprentices. After more than forty years in the kitchen, my greatest pleasure is now to share my passion with you.
