Hi, I'm a synthesizer and computer nerd posting synthesizer and computer related videos and music on YouTube. Take any information given on this channel with a grain of salt, there's always someone who knows better. (The TRS + USB-C MIDI PCB for my "chord machine" is now WORKING! Oh my. I feel immensely proud of something that would barely get a polite smile from anyone else) haha

I have continued working on my "Chord Progression Machine" ( floydsteinberg.gumroad.com/l/bumtf ) and received the first PCB prototype yesterday. Of course, I've made some beginner mistakes - created holes too big for the screws, added the wrong Optocoupler chip, and so on. This first iteration has consumed one quarter of the money my viewers donated (see last image), so I'll have to step up my game for the next iteration ;-)
The firmware has seen some additions and bug fixes as well. There are now swipe-from-the-edges menus that let you set up chord voicing, musical style, bpm, metronome, midi channels... So if you've downloaded the firmware previously, please check for updates. The device will also listen to your style of playing on the keyboard and adjust its responses accordingly (for example, by strumming chords and emphasizing notes, or following the octave you play in).
