Quit Google Diary #1
I quit my $280K job at Google to teach Pilates full-time. No, I wasn't laid off, this was my choice.
And before you say it — yes, I know. Free lunch. Office massages. Flights to Europe on the company dime. I had all of it for 10 years, and on paper, life was good.
So why did I leave?
I was closing multi-million dollar deals, helping already-rich companies get richer. And I was miserable.
I kept telling myself, suck it up, this is what security looks like.
Then my body started keeping scores with me.
I developed something called autonomic nervous system dysfunction — basically, my body forgot how to do the stuff that's supposed to be automatic. I couldn't regulate my temperature. I couldn't digest food. My heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest, randomly for no reason.
One time i developed something called BUrning mouth syndrome and I couldn't fall asleep unless I ate handfuls of ice every night - it was miserable.
And from the outside? I looked completely fine though.
Meanwhile, I was teaching Pilates on the side. One hour helping someone move out of back pain gave me more satisfaction than any deal I ever closed at Google.
That contrast got too loud to ignore.
This wasn't a breakdown. It was a reckoning.
If you want to hear how a corporate deal-maker ends up a full-time Pilates instructor and a spine health coach - stick around.

😮💨2025 was a lot. Here’s to a better 2026 with healthy back! MovewithJenna fam, thank you 💚
To everyone who pressed play on a spine-safe workout, asked a question, or joined a Q&A this year, I’m grateful for you.
You’ve been showing up from all over the world, turning on videos before work, between meetings, or after a long day. That consistency is not small. It’s how your back and body change over time.
2025 was tough for a lot of us. 2026 is our chance to keep building:
• Stronger, safer movement for your spine
• Routines that actually fit your real life
• More clarity on what’s safe for your back
Let’s kick off the year together:
👉 Comment with
1. Your name 💕
2. Where you’re watching from
3. One thing you want to do when you get stronger in 2026! (Picking up your child, running, traveling…etc)
I’ll be reading every comment and using them to shape what I film for you next.
