Hey y’all. I’m feeling incredibly grateful and humble today as I hit 1k subs!
I’ve been sharing content on this channel since 2020, I think? And it’s really cool that I made it to 1k. For me, it’s not about the metrics — they’re cool and all but it’s about what it represents.
I'd like to take a moment and express my gratitude for everyone who has joined this community and subscribed to my channel. I just eclipsed 800 subscribers and I'm pumped about you're here with us.
I've spoken with quite a few of you via e-mail or comments and I'm grateful to be on this journey with you, doing the deep inner work and healing to expand our mind, body & soul!
I look forward to connecting with more of you.
P.S.
If anyone wants to learn directly from me, I want to invite you to explore the @mindmuscleexperience channel. There I share the educational material I use with my mentorship members and so much more!
6 Hormones imbalances that can slow down metabolism, read the caption for the nerd details.
I have a confession to make, I use to be that guy saying “there’s no such thing as a slow metabolism.” I apologize for saying that 😂😂😂
It’s a very real thing, BUT please don’t use it as a mental limitation. Your metabolism may have slowed down, but there’s a tremendous amount you can do about it.
here are the 6 imbalances and an explanation to any of my fellow nerds out there 😉
Leptin Imbalance - Leptin signals to the brain when the body has enough stored fat and influence energy expenditure (calories burned). Low levels or leptin resistance can increase appetite and slow down metabolism
Thyroid Hormones - They Play a crucial role in maintain the body’s metabolism. Conditions like hypothyroidism occur when the body isn’t producing enough of these hormones, so this decline in thyroid hormones can lead to a slower metabolism. Leading to weight gain, fatigue and other symptoms
Testosterone - A reproductive hormone. Low levels of testosterone can lead to reduced muscle mass, decreased energy expenditure (calories burned), and a slower metabolism
Insulin - The hormone that regulates blood sugar. With imbalances in insulin can come difficulty controlling blood sugar, increased fat storage, and slower metabolism
Cortisol - helps regulate glucose (sugar) metabolism. Chronically elevated levels of cortisol can increase blood sugar levels, fat storage and muscle breakdown which can negatively impact your metabolism.
Menopause - Hormones like estrogen help regulate metabolism and body fat disruption. With the reduction of estrogen can come changes in fat distribution, and a decrease in metabolic rate.
I’m looking for 3 peri-menopause, menopause or post-menopausal women who are tired of struggling with their health, want to feel strong & confident, and are ready to invest in themselves.
You won’t lose 35lbs today or this week but what you can do is set yourself up with strong habits that will lead to 35lbs of weight loss in the future.
4 Reasons why you may be dealing with Cravings. I sent this out last week in more detail in my e-mail blast, I've been diving deep into hormones & cravings. Anything else you'd like to see from me??

“When you move beyond the mind’s chatter, beyond the grip of thoughts and perceptions, and…
simply listen
without pushing away, without resistance or attachment
fully present with what is — only then can true inner peace be found.”
This creation came from a YouTube thumbnail I made for @mindmuscleexperience

I’m curious to hear from you all, what comes to mind when you see this photo?
I’ll share my thoughts below.
For a good majority of my life, I would take on others opinions of me as my own.
I would reshape my own perception of myself around what people thought.
I made this photo for an upcoming MME video, and as I made it really hit me….
How much I did this.
When I first recognized this behavior I became enraged.
And after years of spending time alone and getting to know myself, I still get enraged 🙌🏼
But it’s not the same.
Before, it was anger mixed with hatred for the world around me.
Now it’s passion.
Passion to help those who struggle the same way.
Passion to make this world a better place for the next generation.
And most importantly, COMPASSION for the human being I see looking back in the mirror.

I sometimes wonder how much self sabotage is apart of this game we’re playing.
It’s like playing a full game of monopoly and never going to jail, not skipping pass n go and always collecting that 200 bones. Ya know what I mean???
It’s very easy to beat yourself up and get frustrated when you observe your own self sabtoaging behaviors, and here’s the simple solution to this.
Ask yourself when you notice it again, if it can be okay that you failed, that you fell off track?
Adding condemnation for falling off track, some slip ups is only going to add even more pressure on, and that is a good recipe for more self sabotage.
The more you can accept your own self sabotage the more space you make to start new patterns that help you achieve your goals!
