🚨 Heads Up, Atlanta Drivers! 🚨
A major section of I-285 will be completely CLOSED this weekend for bridge maintenance and improvement work. If you’re planning to travel around Metro Atlanta — especially near Cascade Rd. and MLK Jr. Dr. — plan ahead NOW.
📍 FULL CLOSURE:
I-285 Northbound & Southbound
Between MLK Jr. Dr. (Exit 9) & Cascade Rd. (Exit 7)
🗓 Closure Times:
Friday, May 8 at 7 PM
through
Monday, May 11 at 5 AM
⚠️ Expect major delays, detours, and heavier traffic across the city.
💡 My advice?
✔️ Leave earlier than normal
✔️ Use navigation apps for real-time reroutes
✔️ Consider alternate routes if possible
✔️ Be patient — Atlanta traffic is already “Atlanta-ing” 😅
This is also a reminder that in Metro Atlanta… miles don’t matter. Minutes do.
