Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me just how blessed I truly am. I left the house at 8:15 Saturday morning and didn't pull back into the driveway until 1:01 Sunday morning. It was a long day filled with miles, memories, old cars, race cars, and most importantly, people. Along the way I had so many folks give me a shout-out, wave, honk, or simply say, "Hey Junkcar!" Those few words mean more to me than most people realize. Every time someone takes a moment to say hello, it reminds me that what started as a guy with a phone sharing his passion has grown into something much bigger.

I want to sincerely thank everyone at the Parchment Valley Car Show in Ripley, West Virginia, the Cruising for a Cure Car Show in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and my home track, Southside Dragway in Southside, Mason County, West Virginia. The support, friendships, and encouragement I receive from all of you continue to amaze me. Whether you've watched a video, shared a post, stopped to talk cars, or simply called out "Hey Junkcar," you've helped make this journey special. I never take that support for granted. Thank you all for allowing me to be a small part of your stories. I am truly blessed, and I appreciate every single one of you.

One thing I truly enjoy is making people smile. Maybe it's through a story, a video, a picture, or simply sharing a moment from a small town, a drag strip, a junkyard, or a back road somewhere. I never know what post might brighten someone's day, but I keep putting them out there hoping one will.

What many people don't realize is that some folks fight battles nobody can see. They feel those deep lows creeping in and do everything they can to avoid them because they know what waits in that dark place of self-pity, regrets, and feeling stuck. When you're there, it can feel like it will never end.

If I could make videos every day and put a smile on just one face, I'd gladly do it. The funny thing is, I don't think most people realize it helps me too—maybe even more than it helps them. Every comment, every conversation, every shared memory, every smile reminds me that we're all connected in some way.

So if one of my stories, videos, or pictures ever made you laugh, smile, remember an old friend, an old car, or a better time in your life, then it did exactly what I hoped it would do.

Sometimes the people trying to brighten the world around them are also finding their own light along the way.

Crunching leaves under my boots, fighting through brush and thorn bushes scratching at my skin, watching every step for snakes and stopping to pick ticks off along the way… all just to stand face to face with old iron resting where time forgot it. Machines unseen by most for decades, slowly being reclaimed by the woods, yet still holding stories in every dent, rust spot, and faded line.
