Soon, the class of 68 will be starting university, so I want to share a review and give a little tour of the on-campus dorms at CMU. As someone who's lived in the CMU dorms in my entire student life 😂. And if any fellow CMU students are missing CMU, feel free to a sneak peek!

รูมเมทกลับบ้านแล้วร้องไห้ทำไม??


ปกติข้าวเป็นคนที่ชอบอยู่คนเดียวมาก และรู้สึกว่าตัวเองอยู่คนเดียวได้ดีอีกด้วย ก็คือเป็นคนที่สามารถกินข้าวคนเดียว ดูหนังคนเดียว ไปเที่ยวคนเดียวได้แบบไม่มีปัญหาเลย และยิ่งได้นอนคนเดียวนี่ โห มันดีมากกก เพราะมันหมายความว่าเราจะมีพื้นที่ส่วนตัวมากขึ้นนั่นเอง

แต่ตอนอยู่หอต้องอยู่กับรูมเมท ซึ่งพวกเราอยู่กัน 3 คน ทำให้เวลาที่รูมเมทไม่อยู่ห้อง เปรียบเสมือนช่วงเวลาที่สวรรค์ให้รางวัล ได้ใช้เวลาส่วนตัวเต็มที่

จนกระทั่งถึงช่วงปิดเทอมที่ทุกคนกลับบ้าน แต่ข้าวต้องอยู่หอต่อเพราะมีฝึกงาน วันแรกหลังกลับมาจากที่ทำงาน พอเปิดประตูเข้าห้องไปแล้วไม่มีใครอยู่ แทนที่จะรู้สึกดีใจ แต่มันกลับรู้สึกโหวง ๆ ข้างในแบบบอกไม่ถูก จากนั้นก็ทำในสิ่งที่ตัวเองไม่คิดมาก่อนว่าจะทำ ก็คือ... ไปนั่งร้องไห้บนเตียงเฉย !!

เอาจริงนะ ไม่เคยคิดมาก่อนเลยว่าตัวเองจะร้องไห้ที่ได้นอนคนเดียว แต่พอมาคิด ๆ ดูแล้ว... มันก็ไม่แปลกหรอก ก็เรามีรูมเมทที่ดีขนาดนี้ จากปกติที่ทุกวันจะมีคนทักถามว่า “วันนี้เป็นยังไงบ้าง” แล้วพอกลับมาจากที่ทำงานแล้วพบแต่ความว่างเปล่า ความรู้สึกมันก็ดันเอ่อล้นขึ้นมานั่นแหละ ตอนนั้นเองที่ได้เข้าใจอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า เราโชคดีขนาดไหนที่ได้อยู่กับรูมเมทที่ไม่รู้จักกันมาก่อน (เพราะเป็นระบบสุ่ม) แต่กลับเข้ากันได้ดีขนาดนี้ เพื่อน ๆ สามารถทำให้หอในกลายเป็นบ้าน ที่อยู่แล้วรู้สึกสบายใจได้ สามารถทำให้เราที่ชอบอยู่คนเดียวรู้สึกคิดถึงได้ขนาดนี้ และข้าวไม่
ได้แค่ได้รูมเมทที่ดี... แต่ได้เพื่อนต่างหาก

Why did I cry when my roommate went home??

Usually, I really enjoy being alone and I feel like I’m quite good at it. I mean, I can eat alone, watch movies alone, travel alone—no problem at all. And when I get to sleep alone? Oh, that’s the best! Because it means I have more personal space.

But when I’m staying in the dorm, I have to live with roommates. There are three of us, so whenever the roommates aren’t around, it feels like heaven—it’s like I get rewarded with precious personal time.

Then came the semester break when everyone went home, but I had to stay because I had an internship. On the first day back from work, I opened the door and found the room empty. Instead of feeling happy, I felt this strange emptiness inside that I couldn’t explain. Then I did something I never thought I would—I just sat on my bed and cried!!

Seriously, I never imagined I’d cry over sleeping alone. But thinking about it now... it’s actually not that surprising. I have such great roommates. Normally, there’d be someone asking, “How was your day?” But coming back to nothing but silence—it just brought all these emotions to the surface.
That’s when I realized something else—I’m incredibly lucky to have roommates like this. People I didn’t even know before (we were randomly assigned), and yet we clicked so well. These friends turned the dorm into a home, a place where I could feel at ease. They made someone like me—who loves being alone—actually miss them this much. Well, I didn’t just get good roommates... I got real friends.

I’m so lucky.

หวัดดีฮะ ข้าวเอง

อยู่ ๆ ก็กลับมามี passion กับการทำช่องยูทูปอีกแล้ว มา ๆ หาย ๆ 5555 รอบนี้จะได้นานแค่ไหนไม่รู้ แต่จะพยายามทำให้ดีที่สุดในแบบที่เราทำได้ละกัน

เอาจริงนะ ช่องยูทูปของข้าวน่าจะเป็นอีกอย่างที่สะท้อนช่วงชีวิตในวัยรุ่นได้ดีมาก ๆ เลยอ่ะ เต็มไปด้วย passion และการหลงทางที่ยังคงลองผิดลองถูกไปเรื่อย ๆ ช่องยูทูปเนี่ยเริ่มจากคนรอบตัวที่ส่งเสริม ไปจนถึงขั้นคะยั้นคะยอให้เริ่มทำ จนถึงจุดหนึ่งที่มีแรงบันดาลใจจริง ๆ ก็เลยก้าวออกจาก comfort zone ของตัวเอง แล้วเปิดช่องยูทูปขึ้นมานี่แหละ

พอเปิดช่องขึ้นมาแล้วไงต่อ? ก็ต้องหาข้อมูล หาความรู้ว่าเฮ้ย เราต้องทำไงต่อบ้าง? อุปกรณ์ที่เขาใช้มีอะไรบ้าง? แอปตัดต่อ? และแน่นอน รวมไปถึงการพูดหน้ากล้องที่โคตรจะยากเลย

หลังจากหาข้อมูลอยู่พักใหญ่...ก็พบว่า โอ้โห ค่าใช้จ่ายเยอะมาก ไหนจะกล้อง ขาตั้งกล้อง ไมค์ แอปตัดต่อคลิปสารพัดแอปที่ราคาต่างกันไป หลงทางอยู่นานมากว่าควรจะทำยังไง เพราะเราก็เพิ่งเริ่ม จะรอดมั้ยก็ไม่รู้ แต่จะมาลงทุนขนาดนี้เนี่ยนะ...มันเกินไปไหม? โชคดีที่มีเพื่อนสนิทเตือนสติกลับมาได้ว่า “อย่าเพิ่ง!” จากนั้นก็เลยลองถ่ายคลิปแรกด้วยไอโฟนนี่แหละ แล้วเรียนรู้เทคนิคจากยูทูป ซึ่งพอลองทำดูแล้ว มันก็ได้นะทุกคน! มันก็ออกมาเป็นคลิปอ่ะ 5555

ส่วนแอปตัดต่อ นี่ก็ลองผิดลองถูกมาเยอะเหมือนกัน จนกระทั่งมาเจอแอปที่ใช้ฟรีและลงตัว จากวันนั้น (2 ปีที่แล้ว) จนถึงวันนี้ ก็ยังคงใช้ไอเจ้าไอโฟนคู่ใจกับแอปตัดต่อฟรีอันนั้นแหละ

โอเค พอมาถึงวันนี้ ที่เพิ่งจะมาคิดเปิดเพจของช่องยูทูป มันดูเหมือนทุกอย่างจะลงตัวแล้วนะ แต่เอาจริง ข้าวก็ยังคงหลงทางมาโดยตลอด และคิดว่าในอนาคตก็คงจะหลงทางอีกแหละ 55555 ถึงงั้นก็เถอะ ขอแค่ให้ตัวเองยังคงมีความกล้าที่จะหลงทาง และลองเริ่มเดินทางใหม่อยู่เสมอก็พอ

Hey there! It's me, Kaow

Out of the blue, I’ve found myself passionate about making YouTube videos again. It's been on and off lol. No idea how long it’ll last this time, but I’ll try my best in my own way.

Honestly, my YouTube channel probably reflects my teenage years really well—full of passion and a whole lot of wandering and trial-and-error. It all started with people around me encouraging (or even pushing) me to start a channel. At one point, I actually got inspired to do it for real. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and created my YouTube channel.

So once I had the channel, what next? I had to start looking for information—what should I do next? What equipment do people use? What editing apps? And of course, there’s the terrifying part… talking in front of the camera!

After researching for a while, I realized—wow—the costs are insane. Cameras, tripods, mics, all kinds of editing apps at different prices. I was lost for quite some time, not knowing what to do. I mean, I was just starting out. Would it work out? I had no idea. But making such a big investment already? Was that too much? Luckily, a close friend gave me a reality check and said, “Don’t rush it.” So I decided to shoot my first video using just my iPhone and learned filming techniques from YouTube tutorials. And you know what? It worked, guys! It turned out to be a proper video lol.

As for editing apps—I went through a lot of trial and error until I found a free app that just clicked. From that day (two years ago) until now, I’m still using the same iPhone and that same free editing app.

And now, here I am today, thinking about starting a page for my YouTube channel. It kinda feels like things are falling into place. But honestly, I’ve been lost all along, and I think I’ll probably get lost again in the future lol. I just hope that I'll always have the courage to wander and start new journeys again and again.
