I had the opportunity to participate in the Symposium on Emerging Ferroelectric and Multifunctional Materials (EFMM 2026): Polarisation to Performance* held on 16 January 2026 at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

The symposium, organized by Eswar's Lab, was intellectually stimulating and showcased cutting-edge advances in lead-free, molecular, and hybrid ferroelectric systems. The depth of research and the strong connection between fundamental science and real-world performance were truly impressive.

Highlights from the speakers included:

* Ranjith Ramadurai (Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad) - Construction of 3D orientation maps for induced polarization and identification of new invariants under flexural bending in BCZT thin films.

* Dinesh Kabra - Translating the chemistry of lead-free organic-inorganic halide perovskites into functional piezo-electronic devices.

* Jan K. Zaręba (University of Wrocław) - Using nonlinear optical phenomena such as second-harmonic generation to probe phase transitions and enable switchable photonic functions.

* Deepanshu Chouhan - A molecular single-crystal-derived nanogenerator demonstrating record room-temperature magnetoelectric coupling.

* Prasanna Kumar SM - Design of multifunctional PVDF-based polymer nanocomposites for energy harvesting and piezo-catalysis.

* Vijaya Thangaraj - Tunable piezo-phototronics using a ferroelectric semiconducting copper(II) molecular complex for self-powered electronics.


* Aswani Yella Stabilizing perovskite phases at room temperature through polymer additive engineering for efficient energy conversion.

* Bhoomishankar Rammurthy (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune) - Opportunities for organic and hybrid ferroelectrics in piezoelectric nanogenerators and non-volatile memories.

I had the privilege of attending VLSID 2026 , held from 3rd to 7th January 2026 in Pune , one of the most prestigious international conferences in the domains of VLSI Design and Embedded Systems . The conference was conducted at a well-organized venue, with excellent hospitality and professional arrangements at JW Marriott, Pune , providing a comfortable and highly conducive environment for technical discussions, networking, and collaboration.

The event brought together academicians, researchers, industry professionals, startup founders, and students from leading institutions and organizations across India and abroad . It offered valuable exposure to industry-driven research, emerging startups, and cutting-edge innovations in computer science, electronics, artificial intelligence, cyber security and semiconductor technologies .

⭐ Key Learnings and Exposure

* Emerging trends in semiconductor design, embedded AI, and sustainable computing
* Strong industry–academia–startup interactions and collaboration models
* Exposure to innovative work from top institutions and technology leaders in India and internationally
* Practical understanding of next-generation challenges in VLSI and embedded systems

Importantly, the insights and discussions from VLSID 2026 were extremely valuable for my ongoing work . The conference helped refine my ideas, provided technical clarity, and offered meaningful inspiration and guidance for taking this concept forward.

Overall, VLSID 2026 was an enriching platform for learning, professional growth, and networking , set against the vibrant backdrop of Pune—one of India’s rapidly growing technology and innovation hubs.

I sincerely thank the VLSID organizing committee, distinguished speakers, and fellow participants for making this a professionally rewarding experience. I look forward to applying these learnings and contributing further to the semiconductor and technology ecosystem.

I was honored to attend the *ChemSci2025: Leaders in the Field Symposium* held at IISER Pune from December 11th-13th. Organized in collaboration with the *Royal Society of Chemistry* , this event was a spectacular celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Chemical Science Journal.

It was an incredible three days filled with:

Insightful Talks: Hearing from global leaders in the field about the future of open-access research and cutting-edge discoveries.

Innovative Posters: Engaging with fellow researchers during the poster sessions and seeing the high caliber of work being produced across diverse chemical disciplines.

Networking: Connecting with the RSC editorial team and peers to discuss the evolving landscape of our field.

A huge thank you to *Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune* and the *Royal Society of Chemistry* for hosting such an enriching symposium. *Special thanks to Prof. Ashish Yengantiwar for his guidance and support.*

प्रकल्पाचे उद्दिष्ट (Project Statement):

आम्ही महाराष्ट्रातील ग्रामीण भागातील एका गावाला *दत्तक घेऊन त्याचा सर्वांगीण विकास* करण्याचा उपक्रम राबवत आहोत.
सध्या गाव निवडीची प्रक्रिया सुरू आहे.

या फॉर्मच्या माध्यमातून आम्ही विविध गावांतील स्थानिक समस्या, उपलब्ध संसाधने, कल्पना आणि गरजा जाणून घेऊ.
या माहितीच्या आधारे आम्ही एक गाव निवडून लोकसहभागी, शाश्वत आणि नवोन्मेषपूर्ण विकास आराखडा तयार करू, ज्यामुळे गावाचे सामाजिक, आर्थिक आणि पर्यावरणीय जीवन सुधारता येईल.

या फॉर्मचा मुख्य उद्देश:
1. गावातील खऱ्या समस्या व गरजा ओळखणे.
2. गावातील साधने, सुविधा व सामाजिक रचना समजून घेणे.
