Also wanted to let you know that i'm going to be switching to bi-weekly uploads from now on. That's best for me with my new work schedule, that way i can have time to focus on all of my creative projects. I just started work on my new hip hop album so obviously i'll need to dedicate a good amount of time to that as well. I want to make sure i'm delivering quality content to you all without burring myself out, so from now on you can expect videos every other Friday. Hello my friends! Sure has been a while, i hope you all are well! I just realized i hit 11,100K subs so i figured i should do an update for everyone still enjoying this channel.
I want to start by saying Dreamfast with Me rarely leaves my thoughts, i still think about this page on a weekly basis, but do to focusing on my other creative projects i simply haven't thought of anything to do with this page since the cancelation, except for leaving it up for everyone to enjoy. But the truth is i've never wanted to abandon this page completely, and i would still like to do something with it. But what?
Recently i had an idea i wanted to run by all of you. As some of you know, i am a musician, and for the past few years i've been working on my main music channel featuring electronica/chillpop/hiphop. But this month, i decided to branch into creating video game/movie style compositions, and what i have been working on so far sounds incredible, and i'm really excited about what i can create in the future.
As most of you here already know, i created all the soundtracks you hear on my Dark Crystal videos myself, and what i've been working on now is an extension of that. So here is my new idea for this page: How would you all feel about me utilizing Dreamfast with Me for those independent video game/movie style compositions?
Obviously i know all of you are massive fans of Daniel Pemberton who created AoR's ost--well i do the same thing, except i'm independent. With the show's cancellation, and so many new movies being bland today (and oversaturated on Youtube), i'm not left with a lot of good options to continue this page, except for one: Music! It seems the most logical choice to me, but what matters the most is your opinion.
So what do you all think of this idea? Would you stick around to hear all of my new compositions? We've been through a lot of changes as a community, but as i said before, i'd really love to revamp this page with something we all love, and that seems the most fitting idea to me anyway. But of course that's completely up to the community. Also i should note, this doesn't mean my DC videos will be deleted, those will always be available, it just means i'd be moving forward with only game/movie music from now on.
So if you're into that idea, let me know by leaving a comment and expressing your honest opinions. I'm going to let this sit for a couple of days so everyone can see it, and then make a decision. All thoughts and notions welcome!

I just realized yesterday how long it's been since i uploaded any new content, but at this current stage of my life i need to take more for myself to focus on other projects like my writing/music. The channel isn't going anywhere, it will always remain up so the community can have access to all of my Dark Crystal videos, and Thra willing, if the Henson company ever wakes back up and decides to give us new content, i'll be back.
But speaking of new content, another reason i wanted to create this post today was because i often see many of you talking about the dire need for new Dark Crystal material, and believe me, i know how true that is. And that was one of the reasons i started writing my own Dark Crystal book series. With my vast background in creating fantasy stories, and the absence of new material, i took it upon myself to create my own series just for the fans. As of last week, book 1 is now finished! It's not official of course, but it's an authentic Dark Crystal novel non the less. However, it doesn't seem as though many of you actually know about this, and if you're looking for new material, it's been there all along! I plan on creating many more books in the near future, and by the time i'm done it should be something similar to JM Lee's series. I even sent an email to the Henson company to let them know, so hopefully something much more will manifest from all of this. But there's one thing missing--YOU.

Happy 2023, Dreamfasters! I hope you all are well and starting out this new year with all the best fortune. As for me, i've decided to make some changes for this channel moving forward, so i wanted to give you all a big update.
One thing i wanted to take seriously this year is being honest with myself, which has been a major problem in the past and has led to overworking/stress. As of late, i have been giving my Youtube future a lot of thought, so here's what's going on with me:
I have not been feeling 100% lately, whether it be from mental health, overall well being, work/life balance, ect. So i've been trying to determine how exactly i want to continue with this channel, because Dark Crystal material is pretty much worn out at this point. And that does not mean this fanbase hasn't been wonderful, it has nothing to do with you or me. It brought a ton of joy to see so many of you are still so passionate about this, but the simple fact of the matter is that there's none of us left. Because the Henson Company has not expressed any interest in creating new material, what fanbase we had has been slowly disappearing (as you can see by my views), and it doesn't seem to be returning, no matter how much material i put out.
At some point i have to take my time into consideration, and even though it's painful, we have to realize the Dark Crystal run is over for right now. And again, that does not mean stop fighting or give up on supporting, we will always do that no matter what. But i don't have any control over new DC material, or making decisions that affect it's future. All i can do is ride the wave and see where it takes me, i can't create the wave. And unfortunately, the wave has taken us here, the middle of no where!
So now with that analogy in mind, i have to start making my way back through the desert and find my footing again for this channel. Most importantly, i want you all to know this is not the end of DC material completely. I'm just simply waiting on the Henson Company to put out something new to cover. When that happens, i will happily return to making DC content. But for right now, that is not an option for me. You have to keep in mind Youtubers don't typically create channels dedicated to shows that have been cancelled, it doesn't make sense. This channel wasn't created for the original film, it was intended to follow AoR and all the new content we expected. If i'm going to keep myself alive, i have to return to making content which is constantly relevant.
So what i've deiced to do is transition into movie reviews! From now on, Dreamfast With Me will be a full on Stuckmann-style movie review channel. I will be talking about all the new releases i'm interested in, as well as old nostalgic films / anime that i want to discuss. I love talking about cinema as a whole, so this transition feels natural and motivates me to keep moving forward and making awesome content. I'm aware some of you will not be extremely enthused by this, but again, please keep in mind that this is simply a necessary change of pace, and one i feel most comfortable with.
And obviously, this does not mean this channel is loosing passion about the Dark Crystal or our For Thra movement. I have made a gargantuan amount of material, you all know that, and that isn't going anywhere. This channel will always be half DC just because of the deep well of content. This is still the place for DC fans to gather, there's plenty to watch, and with any luck there will be more in the future. But for right now, i'm returning to what i love to do, which is talking about cinema, old and new. There are a lot of awesome movies set to release in 2023, and a ton of old films from my past that i still want to discuss, and i think it's going to be a super fun experience as we move forward.
I completely understand if some of you are moving on, and i wish you all the best. But for those of you who have stayed with me all this time, i hope you will continue to follow me on this new journey through 2023 on!
*And don't forget, i am always creating new DC content because i'm also an independent DC author! I am literally the only author who is writing a brand new book series, and Sifan Charms book one is almost done. Trying to balance all of my creative projects with a new work schedule has made things hectic, so content for this channel has been slow. I've also been working on my music page a lot recently to bring that up to speed, so bear with me a while longer while i find time to produce! I want to ensure i'm making the best content for you, so i never put any pressure on myself to rush things. But don't worry, i'll be back very soon! On December 17th, the 40th anniversary of The Dark Crystal's release, i will be reviewing the film itself. Strangely enough i've never done that, so i'm really looking forward to presenting it! The following week my movie discussions will return with a non spoiler review of Avatar 2! After that, i'll be taking a break for Xmas/New Year, and come January i'll be starting a brand new Dark Crystal series! A good percentage of my video requests have always been for my thoughts/theories on what will happen in AoR season 2, so i've decided to begin a series discussing each important character, as well as those we have not seen, and what they will be doing leading up to the events of the movie. The final video will be my overall story ideas for the season, predicting events and tying things together. Theory is one of my favorite aspects of fandom, so that's going to be super fun to bring the community together to start another epic discussion!
In the meantime, be sure to keep telling all your wayward Dark Crystal fan-friends that this is the place to gather! It's all about emboldening the fanbase and keeping the passion alive! I put an immense amount of work into this project, uploading 4 albums a year and new music almost every week, crafting a brand new genre of Chillhop. But unfortunately, whenever you're doing something new it's a hard crawl, unless you have some support from awesome people like you!
