THE WAY: Ancestral Endurance in the Age of Darkness (Kaliyug)

Sanātana Dharma has survived millennia of invasion, erasure, and appropriation not because it yields, but because its roots run deeper than any force that tries to uproot it.

The same at the individual level.

What comes to destroy the soul of Truth remains undefeated.

The battle between Self and Other, empath and narcissist, indigenous and rootless, lineaged and distorted knowledge continues. I still receive backlash for speaking the truth of my heritage through a decolonial lens, but I do not have the capacity to engage with the predatory nature of a supremacist outlook.

Yet, with the strength of my ancestors, I endure.

Until I have grasped the skills of Pūrva Pakṣa, let my silence towards these dark forces be the voice of Truth.

After 18 years, on 29th March, Ketu moves into Maghā, the star of the Pitṛs (the ancestors). I am no longer willing to sacrifice myself at the altar of ego. I surrender as divine support arrives.

अहिंसा परमो धर्मः, धर्म हिंसा तथैव च।

Ahimsā paramo dharmaḥ, dharma hiṃsā tathaiva ca.

‘Non-violence is the highest duty, but so too is violence in service of Dharma (righteousness).’

Awakening What Has Been Buried: New Moon in the Dark Cave of Scorpio 🌑✨

Tired? Emotionally drained? Dealing with multiple setbacks or frustrations? Are events forcing you to revisit familiar psychological terrain? You may feel pulled inward, compelled to confront a shadowy reality, perhaps a deep trauma or a fear you have yet to conquer. This is the unknown subconscious cave of Scorpio, where the New Moon arrives on November 20th at 6:47 am GMT in the nakshatra of Anurādhā, the star of friendship, deep devotion, love and loyalty, a place that teaches mastery over inner transformation through difficulty and struggle.

With Saturn retrograde in Pisces, Jupiter retrograde in Cancer and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, joined by the Sun and Mars, the atmosphere becomes dense and emotionally charged. This alignment invites introspection and emotional honesty. It urges you to revisit old wounds, evaluate your choices and find the courage to move toward a more authentic and aligned path. Intensely Feeling: September’s Eclipse Portal
and the Aquarius Full Moon 🌕✨

September’s full moon occurring on the 7th in Aquarius brings the unsettling energy of the eclipse portal, considered inauspicious due to Rāhu’s shadow obscuring the mind.

You feel it already: things are spinning beyond your control, emotions are heightened, and the mind is resisting the very surrender that this moment demands.

But it is precisely this letting go that the lunar eclipse energy is requesting. The tradition teaches us that during Chandra Grahaṇa (lunar eclipse), when Rāhu (the north node) swallows the Moon, our manas (mind) becomes clouded and reactive. This is not the time to make important decisions or begin new ventures, but rather to turn inward.

It is a time to trust the divine timing of transformation and deepen your sādhana. Spiritual practices performed during eclipse periods carry increased potency; both the benefits of dharmic actions and the consequences of adharmic ones are amplified. This is why our ancestors prescribed specific spiritual observances during these cosmic events.

There’s no avoiding your emotional depths on this transformative Full Moon, which culminates on June 11th at 8:43 AM (BST). This cycle carries the wisdom of Jyeṣṭhā, the Elder star, awakening the unconscious recesses where our shadows live, buried yet holding mighty metamorphic power.

The Moon feels alone, and is not comfortable here, in the tail end of Scorpio; a kind of unpleasant venom lingers and may sting body and mind, or others, if not transmuted through healthy self-expression and physical movement, the likes of which Venus-ruled Taurus enjoys!
