I would like to share with all of you the complex, but fascinating world of the conventional arms trade by sharing with you the things I've learned working in the conventional arms trade at both the professional and academic levels!

A little about myself. I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tulsa in 2009 and then received my M.A. and Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Arizona, where my research focused on arms proliferation and conflict issues. After receiving my Ph.D., I decided to dive right into the industry to begin to really understand the often opaque world of arms production and trade. I have worked in the defense industry professionally, focusing on assisting defense companies in the realm of import/export regulatory compliance. I now currently serving as a Managing Consultant for Defense Trade Solutions, based in Washington, D.C. My research focuses on conventional arms control and conventional arms production and exports.

Dr. Arms Trade

Fun Fact: In 2018 The United States spent $79.2 billion on R&D, and $124 billion on procurement just of defense goods…more than TWICE the amount that Google, Microsoft and Apple spent on R&D and procurement combined.
