Workout: A Networking Practice Experience
Is happening Fri, Jun 5 at 12 PM ET on Zoom.
Workout: A Networking Practice Experience is a live, interactive session designed to help you practice the conversations that create career opportunities.
Weâll start with a quick overview of networking and conversation foundations, including how to start conversations, build rapport, ask better questions, and make networking feel less awkward or transactional.
Then weâll move into Networking Theatre, where participants can volunteer to do a live networking scenario and receive feedback in real time.
After that, youâll join breakout rooms for Networking Training Workouts with peers.
Youâll get the chance to practice, reflect, receive feedback, and improve your approach in a supportive environment.
This is not a sit-back-and-take-notes workshop.
This is a practice room.
Youâll walk away with more clarity on how you show up in networking conversations, what you can improve, and how to make your next coffee chat, LinkedIn conversation, or professional introduction feel more natural and meaningful.
The goal is NOT more knowledge.
The goal is practice and improvement.
Come ready to participate, try, reflect, and grow.
Because networking isn't just something you learn.
It is something you train.

Most professionals are paying a
"hidden career tax"
and donât even realize it.
Itâs the "tax" of being too focused on hard skills.
You become the person who is:
â¶ïž Technically strong
â¶ïž The one who âgets it doneâ
âŠbut...
not the one who gets
â Remembered,
â Trusted,
â Promoted, or
â Pulled into bigger opportunities.
Because careers do not grow in a straight line based on competence alone.
They grow based on a mix of:
Hard skills Ă Soft skills (Human skills)
That means your technical ability is only part of the equation.
If your communication is weak,
your work gets undervalued.
If your visibility is low,
your contribution gets overlooked.
If your networking is shallow,
opportunities never reach you.
If your confidence is shaky,
your capability gets discounted.
THAT'S the "hidden tax":
You can be highly capable and still get paid, and promoted.
Meanwhile, someone with slightly less technical skill
BUT stronger communication, presence, and relationship capital will move faster.
Not because the world is fair.
Because the world responds to perceived value,
not just actual value.
Here's the hard truth:
Hard skills help you do the work.
Human skills help the work work for you.
(say that 5 times fast đ )
So ask yourself:
What is costing me more right now?
Not knowing enoughâŠ
OR
Not being able to position, communicate, and leverage what I already know?
That answer might explain your plateau.
Which human skills will you prioritize to amplify your hard skills?

Join me Wed, Apr 8, at 7 PM ET virtually for a mini master class to help you master your mindset, build confidence, calm your mind and take better action.
Stress and anxiety are not signs that you are weak.
Often, they are signs that something matters.
This workshop helps people build the mindset skills to respond better under pressure: awareness, thought management, emotional regulation, and action.
Built from the Human Skills Toolkit and Master My Mindset framework, this session treats confidence as a trainable skill, not a personality trait
