Professor Heath's Money Misfits

High school dropout with a pretty impressive arrest record turned U.C. Berkeley grad, CPA, and professor.

Somewhere along the way, I learned that transformation has less to do with talent and more to do with understanding the path.

This channel shares the real-world conversations I have with my students about college, careers, money, and the hidden roadmap nobody explains — helping young adults who feel lost or behind rebuild direction and create a better future for themselves.

If you’re trying to figure out life without pretending to already have it all figured out… you’re probably in the right place.

Professor Heath's Money Misfits

I HATE when people on Social Media point out to others how awesome they are. Hate having to read how honored they are for achieving some nonsense, or how grateful they are for some award they received.

Its some weird self obsession disguised in gratitude. I'm always like, I would love to just read a post or watch a vid where someone just comes out and says I am so awesome.

Over the years i have waited and waited and waited .... and all I get are the Im so honored, so grateful, so thankful posts.

So fuck it, ill do it myself, lol.

I am literally really really good at this podcasting stuff. Maybe the best there ever was. You need to check it out. Money Misfits now has 130 pieces of content, 410 subscribers, 66,000 views and over 750 hours of view time.

Now here is where this post gets good. You might be wondering, "What makes me SOOO good at what i do?"... Well its not this shit camera i use to record the videos. Its not the low quality mic i use for audio. Its not the cheap florescent lighting in my office. Its not the bland ChatGPT episode outlines I print out.

Here is what makes me so utterly fucking amazing at podcasting. I have people way more inspiring than me come and tell their stories. And what puts me in a category by myself, the stories my guests tell, you wont hear anywhere else.

For instance, my recent conversation wasn't just about how community college students manage financial aid. It was about how kids finance their education against all odds. How they climb out of project housing and moms with stage 3 cancer to chase dreams. Its about being so desperate to graduate that you would consider doing almost anything to make it happen. Michael McDermott's story is something you should listen to.

So anyway, Im the shit. But Michael is 20 times more amaizing than i could ever hope to be....

.... and that folks, is how you fucking brag on Social Media!
