I'm a hobbyist woodworker who loves hand tools and I share my experience here.
I was like once a year DIYer and I just happened to make a wooden PC case in 2021, which is my first YouTube video here.
Ever since then, I started to like woodworking and video making and gradually developed both skills.
Thank you for reading here and I'll appreciate if you subscribe my channel.
This my channel description is updated in Jan 2025 but if you are my old subscriber, don't worry, I know what was written here:)

Hi! I have two new Tsunesaburo kanna planes (70mm and 48mm), available for people in the US.
To be honest, they aren't the best deal if you can visit Japan to buy them yourself. However, considering the shipping and tariffs from Japan ($50-75 per plane) that I paid to get them here, the prices are very fair and reasonable.
If you are interested, please use promo code "kanna10" for a $10 discount on all planes until May 31st.

Anyway, I have to plan my next project to go beyond your expectations!
Thank you so much.

I’m planning to make a toolbox for leathercraft tools, but I can’t decide which direction to go. Should I make it highly decorative, or keep it simple so beginners can easily replicate it?
Honestly, I don’t expect my video to blow up (sadly 😅), so at the very least I just want to make something you all would enjoy watching. What do you think I should make?

In my last video, I told my audience that if they were looking for specialized planes, I’d help them find some.
After that, a few people reached out, so I looked for the best deals I could find and picked them up. The 3 specialized planes (grooving planes and a moving filister plane) in the top left have already found their new homes.
I did grab a few extras as well, simply because they were good deals for what they are. If you’re interested in buying one, please check the link below.

The next project is done, but I don’t have time to make a video for the next couple of weeks. I posted some process pics on IG, so if you’re curious about what’s next, please go check them out there.

This is a project I’m currently working on. I hadn’t planned to show it yet, but I noticed these carving tools(Power Grip Carving Set) are on sale on Amazon and wanted to share the deal (Under $30!!). I only used the 6 mm round for this piece.

For reference, the set sells for about $50 at Rockler or Woodcraft.
I bought the seven-piece set before, but this five-piece set is actually a better value per piece. They’re good enough for a light user like me, or for anyone starting to learn carving and wanting to add a bit of charm to their woodworking.
One quick note: I saw a few Amazon reviews mentioning knockoffs, so just make sure what you receive looks legit.

Merry Christmas, my fellow woodworkers! I'll give away Kebiki hardware kits(no blade) to 3 people. If you want it, please leave a comment here and send me your email from the following link (I won't use your email address other than this purpose). It's only for the people who lives in the US (sorry, that's all I can do for the shipping cost reason).

Tomorrow night around 8pm, I will randomly select 3 people then reply to their email and ask for their shipping address.
Thank you for your support!

The Kebiki marking gauge kit will be available tomorrow, December 15th at 8AM PST on Kittystationery.com. I’ll make it easy to find from the top page.
I mistakenly mentioned the 25th on my website, and I apologize for the confusion. That was completely on me. To be fair to everyone, I’ve set aside some stock for the 25th, so even if it sells out before then, a portion will still be available on that date.
I wish I could handle things like this more professionally, but I’m just a random human doing my best...

If you are looking for a mid-range hand plane, I have found the 寿常三郎 (Kotobuki Tsunesaburo) from the renowned maker 常三郎 (Tsunesaburo) is a good deal on Amazon Japan for a 70mm model, the common Sunpachi size, that ships internationally including to the US.

This plane is from a very decent reputable brand and features Blue Paper #1 steel, so I expect it will perform well, but I must note I have never used this plane and the performance surely depends on the type of wood you are dealing with.
While the cheapest option you can find this plane for is around JPY 24,000 within Japan, it is currently priced at only JPY 15,096. When shipping to the US, the total cost including the shipping fee and the import fee (which is a new charge added a few months ago) comes to about JPY 22,000 or roughly $150 USD, making this a good deal.
Just be warned, when importing tools with a wooden base from Japan, the wood can sometimes move or warp due to environmental changes during transit, and there is a chance you have to deal with a crack, which is something I have experienced myself. I just thought it was too good a deal to let it slip, but as I said, I cannot guarantee the performance for your use.
