I'm still kinda sick (noticeable in voice audio but I'm trying to even it out) but the next vid is coming along nicely regardless. It's another big dive alike the recent "Modern Audience" video but we're focusing on the visible decay of Playstation's first-party Stories + what I see as the 2 big reasons why.

The whole recent thing with The Quartering is so insane. Lots of comments nagging me to make a video on it, and I wouldn't mind, but you guys have no idea how much of a shit salad it is.

There's so much that'd have to go into context alone. But it would be funny as a check-in point lol

Because last time I made a video on him, (summer last year), all bro needed to do was get rid of his staff and just make his videos.

Now? We got:
- even more poop stories
- even less views on his vids
- more salt than the beaches of Greece
- cringe content stealing for shorts
- threatening to use his connections to take down a channel
- 2 channel takedowns lol
- and so much more because then it starts involving crap with other creators like Stuttering Craig (who doesn't stutter) and Brittany Venti...

It's still crazy to me that so many people tune in to hear me rant, rave & ramble... Whether it be raging at the machine or glazing weird aspects of games.

Finished Samson a second time to check for some things, and finished the video's script & notes. It's a big one, equivalent to some where the videos went into the 50 - 60 minute territory.

I'm probably dumb for putting so much time into a game apparently barely anyone heard about-- you just know Youtube gonna bury that sh*t 😂 BUT, it is what it is. I can't go halfway-in, like, i can't just give you guys the tip when it comes to talking about stuff yknowhatimsaying

I gotta shove everything in-- this sounds weird. Anyway.

Video gonna be big, covering the WHOLE thing, criticizing several aspects, noting missing things that are sooo dumb, plus some studio details.

I'm so mad at the way Samson just ended...

Just as the story was getting good by setting up some crazy stuff involving canibal elites, realestate companies, pest control companies acting as hitmen, thugs and mobsters trafficking druggies, and druglords filling the streets with highly addictive and lethal substances.... It then just abruptly ends.

The setting and the story were the things holding the game up for me along with the price being very low. It was like a counter-balance to all the major issues this game has when it comes to bugs, jank, repetitive missions, etc.

With the way the story ended when I was actually thinking I had just hit the HALFWAY point of the game, and it was about to get MUCH better, it has left me straight up seething. 😂

You're left with no answers, no resolution, just back to the open world to keep the jobs going, -- throughout the game you do jobs to earn money and pay a debt. Once the debt is paid, there's nothing to do with the money. You can't buy anything, you can't customize your car, you can't fix your house, you can't do a GODDAMN THING, just keep infnitely playing the same repetitive structure.

Devs said the 25 dollar price tag is because they prefer to "overdeliver at $25 than underdeliver at full price" -- my boy, let's get real, there ain't a goddamn thing being 'overdelivered' here. Again, fellas. I'm seething. Talk to you soon in a video. 😂

I'm gonna replay the story and do one different option, because there was one choice somewhere in the middle and I'm wondering if it changes anything.

I got off my ass and finally put the game breakdowns / reviews / whatever in their own playlist.

Definitely expect less "review-style" videos (like Wuchang's and Dying Light: The Beast's) - I don't think they're interesting and I'm always late with them anyway, which, for reviews, just doesn't serve.

But expect more in the style of the last 3:
- 1348 Ex Voto's - Because tearing into awful content will never get old
- Rogue Warrior's - Having fun presenting old games is fun
- Metal Garden's - Presenting and reflecting on Indie gems that are thought provoking is interesting

I like ^ these more than the format of... ya know... just plainly "reviewing" a game's features point by point.

I don't think there'll be any objections to that, given the feedback on these 3 videos, but if you have something to say in defence of those older more-reviewy videos, go for it & I'll hear you out.
