The song Urakkam Thelivom | உறக்கம் தெளிவோம் is a well known Tamil evangelical song originally composed by Dr N Emil Jebasingh of Thoothukudi in 1968. It was written to promote the vision and ministry of the Friends Missionary Prayer Band and has since inspired generations with its call to spiritual awakening and commitment to Christ.
Moved by a deep love for this song, the producer, Dr A Jebasingh Joseph, desired to present it afresh for a new generation. Retaining the original musical spirit, the song has been recreated in Tamil with the same background score and also translated into English so that its message may reach a wider audience.
The English translation was undertaken by Revd J W Joel Ashirwadam, Presbyter, CSI Diocese of Erode Salem, who also had the privilege of rendering the song vocally along with his wife in the year 2025. Together, they prayerfully offer this rendition as a testimony of faith and obedience to the call of God.
