Hey, everyone!
Welcome to my (mostly) retrogaming YouTube channel! You'll find videos on older games and systems as well as related stuff like new ways to play old games!
Most footage on here is recorded via emulation because it's fast and easy. I tell you if there are important differences between what you're seeing and real hardware. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days and that mystical time when arcades ruled the land.
I also have a channel with chiptunes I make here: youtube.com/c/InglebardMusic

So, the topic of making a discord for the channel pops up every now and then. If I were to do it, I wouldn't be in there a ton since I'm incredibly busy. I could make it as a benefit for Patreon patrons or YouTube subs. But regardless for now, would you be interested in a discord for the channel that I'd probably only manage to be in a few hours a week?

Sorry folks, need one more day. Even though I was about done last night, I went and worked on this for about another 10 hours today and it's still not finished. I wanted to include more solid data in it so I spent hours today just analzing footage. It was boring but the results are really interesting. I'll leave those boring parts out of the video so don't worry.
To tide you over why not check out another oldie but goodie that you probably missed? This one's pretty good!

Next video will be Wednesday night! Took longer than expected to capture some footage and I wanted to make sure I had fully tested some stuff so I don't sound like an idiot in the video. At least, no more than usual. Tomorrow night!

Hey all, next video coming this week, probably Tuesday night. I'll be checking out Rocknix on an Odin 2 and talking about why you might want to try it out on that device and others! If you don't know what Rocknix is... watch this when it comes out!
In the meantime, why not check out another video that didn't do so well in the past. How about this one?

Here's a new project I'm helping out with. Someone's doing a port of Legend of Zelda to the Genesis / MD and I'm doing music for the game! It's in progress and won't be ready for a little while but a lot of it is already in the game. I don't want to steal the thunder of the person doing it so I won't talk any more details, but on my chiptune channel I've posted my rendition of the main overworld song ig you want to check it out:
Let me know what you think. The Underworld song is also already done and will go up next week, assuming Nintendo doesn't get spicy and make me pull these down.

Hey all! Next video will probably be up Sunday. I'm going to go for four videos in June since I'll be off work (I'm a teacher, remember!) but no promises, it depends on how much time I have to spend on each one.
Coming soon, in no particular order, will be another episode of Utterly Pointless Comparisons, some controller reviews (in a single video), a special little look at what could have been I won't spoil in advance and who knows, maybe I'll tell you a couple of the music projects I'm working on. Oh and I'll be taking another look at some stuff on the awesome AYN Thor and returning to the Odin 2 for a look at something that transforms it a bit!
Probably in the early fall, I'm going to start another retrospective series like I did for the whole Shining Force series. This time I'll be taking a look at.... the Lunar series! I expect episode 1 probably in late September/early October.
For now, why not check one of my many criminally underwatched videos? Here's one where I covered every Sega game that made its way onto the Atari 2600/VCS:

The next big Sega CD video will go live tomorrow (Wednesday) night sometime. So tear yourself away from Spider-Noir for a while and find out about some classic and not-so-classic Sega and Mega CD games! I expect it will be ready somewhere around 10PM EST.
I don't usually launch videos on Wednesdays so please give it a look as soon as you can since I put a TON of work into this one! Enjoy (tomorrow)!

Hey all, I put up my latest video late last night and discovered YouTube isn't sending out alerts for it (at least not to the accounts in my household). So maybe some of you will see this at least!
Check out my review of the Last Ninja Collection! It's available for modern platforms and has the C64, Amiga and Spectrum versions (where applicable) of 7 different old school titles! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell those to whom you're indifferent! Link below!
Update: Love some of the irony here. YouTube tells me fewer subscribers are choosing to watch the video while simultaneously not sending out alerts that the video is up. Gee, I wonder if there might be a correlation here!

Hey all, heads up, that I've mostly recovered from the bites and managed to record a good amount of footage, but haven't had enough time to quite finish yet since I'm still a smidge hobbled. So my next video will be out on Tuesday and I'll tell you the topic... it's another 11 facts video! Guess for which system!
