Joining rooms just got a lot easier 🤝

Available in VR and on screen, you can now find a room's unique code to share with invited users. From the VR lobby, users can then enter this code to land in the correct room, without having to search for it.

Free community users also have the option to make rooms public, opening out use of the code to whoever has it and bringing more opportunities for fast collaboration.

Gravity Sketch 6.4.6 updates – All about exports:

We heard from you (Shoutout to Žofia Babčanová) that this one would make a big impact.

1. .blend export: Now carries over thickens, mirrors, and subdivision levels as active modifiers in Blender. Means no more cleanup needed when exporting for blending.
2. GLB & USDZ export in VR: You can now export these formats directly from VR, Hopefully making it easier for you to bring assets into animation, game engines, and AR workflows.

Gravity Sketch

Alongside the preset materials we shared yesterday, here’s another little improvement we've made:

Bounding Box Improvements: Previously, bounding boxes aligned with the global sketch axis, which could shift their shape and orientation when objects were moved or scaled. Now, they always respect the local object orientation, keeping strokes, surfaces, and primitives aligned as intended.

Another subtle tweak in 6.4.2, but sometimes they are the best updates 😉.

In Gravity Sketch 6.4, we released a host of improvements to the color and materials panel. We’ve now followed it up with an extra treat for the community;
Preset materials: you now have access to a collection of ready-made materials to apply to your design ideas available in your Saved Materials tab. This library gives you access to 12 presets curated by the Gravity Sketch team including carbon fiber, alcantara, and tinted glass.
With this powerful set of materials you’ll be able to better reflect your design intent and increase the realism of surfaces – meaning others can give more valuable feedback on your ideas.
