The United States turns 250 in 2026! To celebrate, the Penfield Local History Room will host a series of monthly programs focusing on different aspects of our Town’s history. In recognition of Black History Month, the LHR presented a lecture on Penfield's Earliest African Americans. Among the 3,000 people living in Penfield by 1820 were several Black families. Watch this presentation by Anna Jarvis and discover what brought African Americans to the region and how our town dealt with the tumultuous years leading to the Civil War. ANNOUNCEMENT — Monday, 01/26/2026
Due to current weather conditions, all Town of Penfield facilities and the Penfield and Webster Central School Districts will be closed. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello has declared a State of Emergency. Residents are urged to avoid unnecessary travel to allow highway crews and emergency responders clear access to roadways. Winter Parking Restrictions are in effect through April 1. Please remove all motor vehicles from both main and residential roadways.

A new chapter begins for the Town of Penfield!
On Friday, January 2 at 4:30 PM, Penfield TV will provide LIVE coverage of the Swearing-In Ceremony from the Town Hall Auditorium.

The ceremony will officially welcome: Town Supervisor Kevin Berry and Town Board Members Jon Getz and Bill Lang. Town Justice Jim Mulley and Town Clerk Amy Steklof begin another term after their reelection last November.

Join us as Penfield’s newly elected leaders take office and begin serving the community in 2026.

UNOFFICIAL RESULTS: Kevin Berry has been elected to serve as Penfield's 45th Town Supervisor, defeating incumbent Jeff Leenhouts. The Town Board will also welcome two new members in January, with Bill Lang and Jon Getz winning against incumbents Candace Lee and Bob Ockenden.
