Authentic Czech cooking inspired by grandmas, family tables, and real home kitchens.
I am Petra Kupská, a born-and-raised Czech living in northern Bohemia. I have been cooking for over 20 years, turning traditional Czech recipes into everyday family favorites that are still cooked in Czech homes today.
I believe food is about more than recipes. It is about warmth, memories, and that familiar feeling of sitting at a set table, just like stepping into your grandma’s house.
On this channel, I help you cook traditional Czech dishes with confidence. I explain everything clearly and in English, so anyone can follow along, whether you are bringing back childhood flavors or discovering Czech food for the first time.

Cold winter days are perfect for a Czech soup! Try Bramboračka, a hearty potato soup with mushrooms and root vegetables (who said we Czechs hate vegetables? 😃). This soup is a true Czech comfort classic.

𝗖𝘇𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁𝘀 🇨🇿🤩
→ Recipe: www.cooklikeczechs.com/koblihy/
In the past, koblihy were a beloved part of Czech Masopust, a winter season filled with festive food, music, laughter, and costumed balls. Fried in lard, filled with sweet jam, and dusted generously with sugar, they were pure celebration on a plate meant to be shared with neighbors and friends. Golden and round, koblihy were said to resemble the spring sun people eagerly awaited during the long cold months.
This past week, koblihy became my little project. I fine tuned the recipe over three days in a row, and I am truly happy with the result. Since koblihy belong to this festive season, try making them at home too and let me know how they turned out! 🍩
